Andre Ward on Kovalev acting like he lost

    just when you thought this douche bag couldn't get any worse Andre Ward comes out with something about how there won't be a rematch until Kovalev starts "acting"like he lost the fight to Ward.
    Has anyone ever heard anything like this before and why should Kovalev go against his initial instincts of that fight if he thinks he's right why should he start acting just to satisfy Wards ego?
    For the record I thought the fight close and at best I could of had Ward in a draw but regardless of that we all seen Wards reaction that night and it wasn't of one who was confident,he needs to either retire or agree to the rematch as stated in the original contract because the more he opens his mouth the worse he looks,I think he's miffed because he's not been lauded as the pound for pound King as was promised?

    Well, Kovalev in fact lost the fight. He needs Ward, Ward doesn't need him. So yes, if Kovalev wants his rematch then he should indeed start acting like he lost.

    Nope. The second he agrees to pretend Ward won fair and square is the second Andre announces his retirement claiming he has nothing left to prove.

    He got his Christmas gift early and he knows it.

    If I was Kovalev I'd get in contact with Donald Trump who I know he is good friends with and ask him if he can get more involved in boxing in order to sort out this issues and recfity people like Al Haymon, Jay Z and all the other corrupt dogs in the game who enable these sorts of stunts Ward is pulling.

    Actually that wouldn't be a bad idea. I am all for the rematch with Ward but if Ward wants to be difficult then he can go and knock Adonis off and come back with the lineal title and be in a much better position. That would take away all of Wards bragging rights and put immense pressure on him to either sh#t or get off the pot. However, there is no guarantee that he will get past Stevenson.

    Ward said that? He asked Kovalev to start acting like he lost? What's the exact quote because that sounds a strange thing to say, tbh? Is there a link you can share?

    He made some statements to that effect but not those words over at the scene. I just thinks that he wants Duva and the Kov team to acknowledge that he is the champion and stop trying to negotiate from a position and the belief that they actually won the fight.
