neither have defence, neither have great power, but pascal looks even more shot after kovalev beat his head in.
I think Cleverly is much fresher, and would be able to set a tempo that would benefit himself far better than Pascal. Probably nab a decision. Fighters that employ styles like Pascal really don't age well. He's looked really poor, relatively of course, in recent years.
Both guys are shot but I think Pascal might be past the point of no return. It would probably still be a decent fight but, at this point, I think Cleverly could win behind his jab and straight-right. Pascal seems to have lost his timing, so I think he'd struggle to land the lead left-hook which (in his prime) would have caused all sorts of problems for Cleverly. If a fighter has lost their timing, a half-decent jab is enough to beat them because it'll keep them off-balance. Pascal in his prime. Cleverly now.
Cleverly has never been the same since losing to Kovalev. Cleverly seems to take alot of shots. I dont think Cleverly pre Kovalev would have lost to Fonfara but Im not sure Pascal would be able to beat Nathan. I think Nathans workrate would be a factor and win him a decision
Alot of champs have faced fighters he has beaten so I think he has beaten good fighters and there is Bellew who became a CW champ, Brahmer who was a title holder to also note, but getting back to what I had wrote previously Nathan beat undefeated Murat who world champ Hopkins defended against after, Nathan beats Mohammedi who world champ Kovalev defended against after, Nathan beat Krasniqi who world champ Brahmer defended against after, Nathan beat Karpency who went on to beat Dawson and who world champ Stevenson defended against after, Nathan beat Kuziemski who Pascal fought after so he must have fought some decent fighters
