Robin Reid should be on Froch's list as well.

Froch fought the better comp and JC was the better fighter. I will say this though, if it was JC around when the super6 was getting set up, he would have been Bute and waited it out. Blaming Frank Warren for the first 2/3rds of Joe's career is nonsense. I remember it clearly. Joe pulled out of fights all the time, didn't want to travel and wanted no part of Dawson, Johnson etc. He even tried to pull out of the Lacy fight. For me, those actions sullied his career. No one talked about the hof until his last handfull of fights. I give very little credit for the Lacy fight. He had done nothing before or after Joe smashed him.

Froch was the opposite. He would fight anyone anytime. He made the most of what he had and didn't mind traveling. If Joe had Carls heart and desire, he would have done a lot more with his career. In a head to head, Joe beats Carl by UD but gets in a fight at times.

    Calzaghe clearly

Anyone who actually was watching when the division was unfolding would see that Calzaghes resume is clearly superior but many on here were not watching boxing at that time.
    Let me assist

    1. Jean Pascal was not a top SMW. Who did Pascal beat at SMW? When people try and claim Pascal as a good SMW win he wasnt as accomplished as Mketchyan on Calzaghes resume or Veit who were not mentioned, but still if they point to Pascal being a LHW champ later, dont forget he was beaten by Hopkins years after Calzaghe beat him

    2. Jermaine Taylor was not a top SMW. Had no SMW resume was on a run of 1-1 at SMW and a run of 1-2 when facing Froch before being beaten by another former MW straight after

    3. Andre Dirrell was also not a top SMW with his best win over a former MW

    4. Mikkel Kessler beat Froch when coming off a loss and had been beaten when prime by Calzaghe years previously

    5. Arthur Abraham was also not a top SMW and coming off a loss

    6. Glen Johnson. Funny that Froch beating a boiled down, faded Johnson is a notable win but what isnt noted and often not known is that Calzaghe beat Sheika who beat prime Johnson for the opportunity to box Calzaghe. Johnson wasnt a top SMW and had many losses at SMW, possibly more losses than wins at the weight

    7. Andre Ward beat Froch but also Ward was not as accomplished a SMW as Eubank who Calzaghe beat and was at a less accomplished stage of his career than Kessler when Calzaghe beat him

    8. Lucian Bute was a good win for Froch but not really any better than Lacy for Calzaghe

Now any name that there is for Froch, Calzaghe has a greater win at the weight

    Calzaghe........................Froch
Eubank...........................Bute - Eubank was a far greater SMW who had made more defences against greater comp
Kessler...........................Kessler - Calzaghe beat prime undefeated Kessler and not a faded version with losses
Mitchell..........................Abraham - Mitchell was a 2 time SMW champ who had beaten Liles and twice beaten a fighter who would go on to be a SMW champ
Veit................................Dirrell - Veit had claim to being a world champ, had beaten undefeated Brahmer and had a far greater resume
Sheika............................Johnson - At SMW, Sheika was more successful and had the win over prime Johnson. Enough said in the result
Mkertchyan.....................Pascal - Mkertchyan had beaten undefeated Chanet which is greater than any Pascal SMW win but dont forget how Calzaghe had beaten Hopkins before he beat Pascal
Brewer............................Taylor - Brewer was a far more accomplished SMW. Taylor dropped back to MW when not having done well at SMW

Any win for Froch is beaten by Calzaghe wins and dont forget Calzaghe has other SMW champs on his resume like Reid, Woodhall, Jones, Bika to name a few and the Hopkins win.

    Calzaghes resume is far greater

    Wrong.
Calzaghes is far greater. Tell me what some of the names like Pascal, Johnson, Taylor did at SMW?

Yet someone would include Pascal for Froch who lost years after to Hopkins? Or Johnson who was in his 40s for Froch who was boiled down?
Eubank was younger than Bute when Froch beat him and same age and younger than Kessler when Frioch beat him.
Seems you dont have a clue

    Froch > Calzaghe for me.

Beat better fighters and would beat Joe.

Remind us all again how old you were when Calzaghe was beating Eubank, then how old you were when Calzaghe was beating Woodhall?
    Be honest.
It will show what I said about people commenting when they are not old enough to recall or really know
    Answer honestly and dont duck

So you were around 10 when Calzaghe beat Eubank and 13 when Calzaghe beat Woodhall. Too young to really know the division like you would now and although I could explain it to you I doubt you would listen but the age says it all

Boxing has been around since the 1800's almost everything I discuss is before I was old enough to know the division like I would now.
