    He'd beat them all.

Fury's the only threat, and Fury doesn't have the dicipline. I say Fury's a threat because he's got that awkwardness, throws punches from funny angles with deceptive speeed - kind of like a giant version of Michael Spinks.

But it looks like Fury is on his way out now anyway.
The only prospects for the division's "bright future" are Joshua and Parker.

I never mentioned Terrel nor Lewis.

I said the argument of someone being too big is not valid.

it is perfectly valid, cooney was weak and light for a 6'6 guy, he would be even short today... fury is 6'9.

and the example with terrel and lewis is exactly the same what you are insinuating here..." if holmes did beat cooney, the size would not be a factor" total bull****

If you can make a stylistic argument, go ahead.

If you're gonna say someone wins because they are too big for him, I'm not interested.

Fury would beat him, and i think ped povetkin has a good shot, he would give holmes hell that's for sure... He would be the stronger man in the clinch and would be firing those vicious combos all night long

Holmes would dominate. He was a real pro not to mention an ATG. Today's hwts get by with amateur level skills. They don't need to be very good to get by in a watered down boxing world and it shows.

He would be the unified, UNDISPUTED champion. Unlike the multiple belt holders today who refuse to fight each other.

Yeah the actual truth is we don't how good a lot of the HW talent is today.

Fury, Joshua, Wilder, Parker are all unproven, but that can change with time.

I mean if Fury can manage to perfect the jab and grab routine would anyone in history be able to beat him?

Povetkin, for one, has top notch skills. Excellent combo puncher, great at finding angles and really good footwork when in shape. Wlad, tho he should be done, had exceptional footwork for a fighter his size and an all-time great jab to compliment his bone-crushing power.

I love Holmes. He might be my favorite all-time heavyweight. He would be in the top mix today, no doubt. But to say he would absolutely dominate and not be seriously challenged, I don't quite buy.

You seem to be saying that you were excited by the division two years ago, but you see it as a desert now!

Pretty much. I had higher hopes for Wilder. Now, outside of his ability to KO tomato cans, I'm not convinced of much. Stiverne doesn't seem to be the most dedicated fellow. Povetkin was always the real deal, IMO, but two failed PED tests and his advancing age have me not so excited. Fury, tho very talented and tough, is a nut job and has scuttled his own career. Waldo needs to be let out to pasture.

I'm much more excited by the cruiserweight division which is loaded now. Perhaps because they look and fight more like exciting heavies of the past.
