Excited. This is a big event and a more than just mildly interesting fight.

After this one he'll take Saunders middle weight title and defend it against Cotto in a rematch.

like it or not we're still 3 fights from GGG.....and thats only if Mayweather doesnt return looking for a super fight with Canelo and a crack at a middleweight title....

Seems like I'm one of the few people not into this fight. Canelo is 'considered' a p4p tier fighter... and as importantly, a supposed p4p tier fighter that can actually fight anyone he wants (often p4p fighters get ducked and can often have hard time finding defining opponents) and hes been fighting khan, Kirkland, and now... Chavez Jr. The dude is milking his fans. Meh.

That being said ya ya it will be a fun fight, if Jr comes 100% he will make it a good one. I question how much he has left though, even if he does give it all.

He's fighting Khan, Kirkland, Trout, Lara, he just fought Cotto one year ago, and he just beat Liam Smith one of the JrMW champions. If you call that resume milking his fans, then WTF is Golovkin and most of the other top 10 P4P doing to their fans?

This dude should be taking on the best after 2 tune ups in Khan and Smith but he's trying to drain Chavez Jr for another cherry pick.

So wait, Canelo now has the power of a 6'3 LHW? Canelo couldn't KO glass jawed Cotto, Lara or Trout, and it took him 9 rounds to KO Beefy, but he'll easily KO a massive SMW with one of the best chins in the sport, okay.

He will KO Chavez with his powerful body shot. That's the key weapon he will use to win. If he fights GGG his only chance of winning would be to the body...
