Mercer was able to stop Morrison but Foreman couldn't?

The point is, the man I quoted tried to play this victory against Lewis when in reality he hit Bruno so hard and so often then fight was not allowed to continue.

This is the point where I stop with you as your replies are increasingly incomprehensible.what the hell has Mercer stopping Morrison got to do with it? Why don't we just come out with Morrison was flattened by bent but Mercer couldn't do it? Nonsensical

It's got the exact same thing to do with your comparison between Bruno, McCall and Foreman.

    I like this.

People forget what a beast young George was...he was just levels above....a incredible force

To crush frazier and Norton in that fashion in their prime...

I don't think that we ever saw the best possible version of Foreman.

I think that his handlers matched him too timidly in the run up to the Frazier fight, and that as a result of this; he did not fully develop as a fighter.

His amateur record suggests that such cautious match making, was both unnecessary, and undesirable.

They should have matched him against more contenders, in order to allow him to learn his trade, and weed out the flaws in his game plan.

As it was these flaws were allowed to go unchecked, until he ran into somebody who he could not get away with them against.

Foreman was too flawed a fighter to come back after losing in such one sided fashion to Young to then remain undefeated into the mid 1980's. George was perplexed by Peralta, koed by old Ali and beaten easily by Young. To say he continues from the Young loss to not only beat Holmes but Dokes and possibly other dodgy boxers is a BIT too imaginative. MORE THAN LIKELY he does win bouts UNTIL he meets Prime Holmes and is beaten in fairly one sided fashion. If Young could outpoint Foreman going away, Holmes who was Young's superior by a mile or two, would do at least the same.

Oh BTW Holmes was Wayyyy past his prime when he fought Tyson. Tyson also was a sharpshooter which Foreman never was. What Tyson did do to old Holmes is in no way indicative to what Foreman in say 1980 would fare against Prime Holmes. Completely incomparable.

However there's very little chance of Foreman beating Lewis in the 90's
