Name them. UFC is the golden standard for street fighting, all that needs to be learned are the dirtier tricks.

Everyone acting like Connor completely wrecks Floyd 10 out of 10 times in a street fight, have to admit I don't think the matchup is getting its proper breakdown.

Do people have any idea how fast Mayweather would be without his gloves on? And how hard his punches would feel without gloves, especially to a non boxer? 100% of street fights start on the feet.... and Connor has a punch first mentality. I have no reason to think their fight wouldn't start off as punching eachother, and would stay that way through majority of its duration, and therefor, I see no reason to think McGregor wouldn't be KO'd at least a few times (out of 10 times).

People act like all of a sudden in a street fight Connor is going to go and do a double leg takedown and choke Mayweather out.

People don't understand, mma vs boxing is just like everything else, in that its a case by case basis on who would win. When you take an mma fighter who will be going after boxers on their feet, especially on the street, I have no reason to think they wont be KO'd.

Put a grappling mma fighter in there who's mentality is going to be to close the gap on Floyd as quick as possible and start controlling him, take him down and choke him out, Ill probably pick them. But you can just about bet Connor wouldn't do that, and therefor I don't get this universal consensus that he 'destroys' Floyd in a street fight. Not saying he wouldn't beat Floyd, but him getting KO'd is not out of the question either. People acting like this would be a foregone conclusion is all I'm addressing.

I think Floyd understands his limitations when he said "I am so gonna smack that Conor next time I see him".

I've seen Connor start many attacks with a hard side or, spinning back kick. I think he would use that before he threw any punches.

I'll bite. Someone like Vitali Klitshko would, far too big and strong + has kickboxing experience as well.

He'll no. 1 on 1 in a street fight Maybe Conor can get the best of Floyd, because he's a martial artist and would be able to use his kicks, but in a fight where it's controlled and fought with the hands, Floyd would whoop him up.

It's a street fight, anything can happen. I could beat Conor easily, all I'd need to do is walk over to him and punch him straight on the chin Floyd vs Ortiz style. It's not like Herb Deen warns you that a fight is going to take place on the street and tells you to go into your corner.

UFC fans are so ******ed talking about how UFC fighters would beat anyone on the street as if street fights have rules that prevent you from suckerpunching someone or bringing a knife with you.

Wanderlei Silva got knocked out by Krazy Horse in a real fight which would never happen in an MMA fight.

Just a heads up, cause I nitpick like that, but boxing is a martial art. If you are a boxer, then you are a martial artist as surely as if you studied karate. Wrestling, knife fighting, fencing, target shooting, archery, all western martial arts. It annoys me a little when people forget that we have our own native martial traditions that are as worthy of respect as the new eastern ones.

It also bugs me how there are no weapons techniques in mma even though most of the martial arts styles it claims to mix utilize weapons or how to disarm an armed opponent. People like to think of mma as some universal all encompassing complete style that doesn't have any of the limitations of other styles, but you bring a knife or a pipe to an mma fight and you'll find out right quick how useful that **** is.

I really wish that there was a weapons division in mma. To me the most interesting thing about mma was seeing the contrasting styles: karate vs jiu jitsu, capoeira vs tae kwon do, sambo vs muay thai kickboxing. Now, mma has sort of become it's own style without all the old variety, basically just traditional wrestling and kickboxing.

Back in the Roman days, they'd have pure boxing, pure wrestling, pure fencing, but they'd mix things up too. You could have two armed gladiators fight horse riding gladiators, guys would fight with tridents and nets against guys with swords and bucklers.

What I want to see is something like this kendo vs escrima.

Yeah, you ever see that video where the guy is doing ground and pound on this dude and his buddy kicks the guy on top in the head? Also, the real world is a nasty place to fight in, full of concrete, chairs, and bricks.

Anything can happen, but when you're unlearned in the fundamentals let alone at a high level, you're going to lose virtually every time.

A suckerpunch is not a street fight. That's a sucker punch before a fight begins. I would knock out prime George Foreman and actually any man in history if I sucker punch them - that's not a street fight.
If the street fight is definitely on, McGregor is not stupid enough to let you just walk over and punch him 'straight on the chin'. I did mention UFC fighters who learn a few dirty tricks would ruin anyone. UFC fighters could easily kill with just a few of their moves. MMA is centred around FIGHTING.
Knifes, suckerpunching, and what happened to Falcao does not count otherwise can we just say I can kill prime Mike Tyson and prime Foreman in a street fight..because I'd bank on it if I had a gun.

Yeah you're right. Boxing is a form of martial arts.
