Popularity pays the bills. There are plenty of highly skilled boxers out there that earn much less as their lesser skilled counterparts

Boner almost put together a proper sentence. His opinion is meaningless and (surprise)incorrect.

As much as I hate to interject on someone's behalf, I don't think he literally meant they pay the bills.

Mcgregor lacks the speed in his feet. He's two flat footed. Look at his sparring video in the boxing ring and even watch his MMA fights. He grounds himself so much that he can get caught out with some good timing. He has the potential to be good in boxing, but he'd need a crap tonne of sparring rounds to get used to the squared circle.

Actually, it's right on the money. This McGregor, like most of these MMA types, has a glass jaw - one that has been PROVEN to be super-fragile. ANY halfway decent boxer, and probably more than a few tomato cans, would starch this guy early.

MMA fighters and kickboxers don't have the footwork to deal with decent boxers. They're fighting bare footed and have to deal with leg kicks that limit footwork and force you to have a less mobile stance.

Any elite boxer in the 145-170lbs range would absolutely kill him in a boxing ring.

I have watched plenty of McTappers fights and have noted his kicking game is very overrated he is more style than substance in this regard. He has very good takedown defense but limited ground game.

This makes me believe an elite boxer would eat him up in kickboxing as well.

Given a little cross training 160-168lbs fighters would wreck him at MMA. Elite guy's in these divisions probably beat him on day 1.

Jermall Charlo looks like a bad bad man, I wouldn't be surprised if he beat his ass on day 1 as well.

Give elite boxers in the 145-155 weight regions 6 months of cross training and they would probably eat him up too.

Tbf to MMA McGregor is a much easier stylistic match up for an elite boxer than a guy with wrestling base or Bjj base

Broner isn't a top boxer though? He's more of hype job than McGregor will ever be fact.

If it was Thurman, Brook, Canelo type guys I would maybe listen, although the every boxer KO 1st round talk is random trash, even some guys from the street could survive past 1st round never mind a MMA striker like McGregor.

Listen McGregors a ****ing wanker no doubt but Broners a ****ing ghetto rat who should probably be locked up.

McGregor has got TERRIBLE punch technique. He swings from his hips and leaves himself wide open. He wouldn't be top 500 in any weight.

Ha. I know. Personally I think Broner would absolutely destroy Conor in a boxing ring but to say he wouldn't make the top 500 is absurd.

For context Freddie Flintoff, a retired cricketer who had one 4 round fight managed to secure a top 500 ranking.

That was heavyweight. At the lower weights it is much more stacked with talent.

Would it really be that surprising? It would depend on who he fought, but yes, I think he could very well get dusted in a round by the top 154 lbers.... probably would go til the 3rd or 4th, but it would only be a matter of time.
