Could Salido have pummeled Andre Berto?
Guerrero did it, and he was beaten by Salido.
Could Salido have survived Thurman and Garcia?

In what way was Norris bigger than Hopkins?

Toney was also very flat footed and grossly over weight but still managed to make Ruiz look lost.

I think Hopkins has the skill set to beat Ruiz, the frame to handle the extra weight and the right style to make him look hapless. Some people argue Ruiz is too big despite his obvious flaw when it comes to asserting any physical dominance on former MW opposition.

The mistake you're beginning to make now is generalising. Every fight has to be taken case by case by case, after all Wilfredo Gomez couldn't effectively add 4 pounds despite his greatness.

I argued about Jones and Toney to show how stupid the whole "Ruiz is too big" argument is.

Shut out is strong, I'll accept that. Hopkins would take at least 3 rounds off.

Not everyone can move up in weight. But a lot of people can. It has a lot to do with style, skill and frame.

We can debate separate fighters on other threads, this debate is about Hopkins in the 2000's and he has all the tools needed to beat Ruiz convincingly on points.

Norris campaigned in a higher weight class but you can't realistically think he was bigger than Hopkins.

Toney fought at a higher weight than Lebedev but is clearly the smaller man.

He was realistically bigger because he was bigger, this is a fact is it not?

    He just ate more.

Hopkins could easily increase his calorific intake and weight 220 pounds because he has the frame to carry that weight.

Norris has proved his durability at a higher weight class but based on photos and measurements Hopkins is the bigger man, just a lot more disciplined.

You have their diet plan by any chance? Norris was the bigger man plain and simple. Hopkins is very slender with a tiny waist, he isn't big enough to be a decent HW.

Just as Hagler was a natural MW so was Hopkins. This was mainly because of his fanatical training and to prepare for
his fight with Tarver he had to use Mac Shilstone to help put on the muscle. Byrd , Toney , Barkley were naturally heavy so
had no problem growing into HW. I'm sure with Hopkins mindset and pysche he could have been a sucess at HW but it
would have shorten his longevity !!

And if Hopkins weighed 220 for a fight would he still be smaller than Norris despite being taller, having longer reach and being the heavier man?

Love Hopkins, rate him immensely at 160 and P4P but i personally don't see him adapting too well to Heavyweight. Tickled to read otherwise tho,

That if never happened, and no if Norris was heavier he'd still be the bigger man would he not?

So what if Norris weighs 205 and Hopkins weighs 220 is Nard then the bigger man.

No, just like Kel Brook wasn't the bigger man although he weighed more than GGG.
