This time, beginning in the first round of his rematch with Kovalev. It's going to be a terribly ugly fight to watch. Do you think Ward has the ability to stay on the outside and win? He'll use the cheap, low testosterone approach even more shamelessly this time around. That's if he has the balls to meet the unofficial champion again.

Why would you expect Ward to use the same tactics if you are so sure he lost the first time? I would have thought the question which would have come to mind for those who thought he lost would have been: 'Ward lost using donkey tactics, what will he try in the rematch?'

    Interesting...

And Kovalev will hold on all night refusing to engage again resulting in him losing again.

My man Kovalev knows he has to knock out Ward this second time around .

Which he should be confident in that part , he already knows he can hurt and drop Ward .

He cant outbox Ward again , Kovalev has no choice but to dismantle him quick .

Kovalev was robbed and 80% tend to agree. If you're in the minority, give your head a good shake. It stands to reason that fair judging is a major concern of any logical person regarding the rematch.Ward cannot beat him in a mid-range or long-range fight. After he painfully realized this in the second round, the lunge fest began.

I tend to agree and what's more, the punch he decked Ward with in the 2nd was not even correctly thrown and landed with the inside of the glove and not using the knuckles. A clean punch might have left him where he fell. He can hurt him, he can stop him...

Didn't know it was Kovlev who was the one who has the history in ugly wrestling type fights...

Course he will,I honestly think Ward wanted to fight Kovalev n the manner of his tune ups where he beat Barrera using his undoubted boxing skills but after feeling SKs power it was back to stinkeroo mode which is infact how he wins all of his big fights,he mistakenly calls it an inside game but has no place in a boxing ring not particularly because it's dirty or anything as you expect that in a fight no rather because Ward is content to wrestle for twelve rounds in the knowledge he gets the decision,it's also p*** poor on the paying fans.
I hope we're wrong about Ward cause when he chooses the guy can box?

No it's not that was a troll post I reckon cause even the staunchest Ward fans will admit that one deals in KOs and the other in twelve round points decisions and guess what the latter ain't Kovalev lol

Problem is despite this idea that ward is the skilled boxer, he can't outbox kovalev in an actual boxing match

He's only chance is to make it a sloppy wrestling, and hope the judges are loving he's punches in the clinch

That fight reminded me of what Bernard dunne said before on how he approach taken on a better boxer than he (think he was referring to donaire and rigo) he said that once he realized he couldn't win the fight by boxing he would try and rob rounds. And he said he would do that by making the fight a sloppy, dirty clinch fest with as little boxing as possible and since he would be the home fighter they would maybe give these sloppy rounds to him and he would 'rob rounds' in he's words.

This is what ward did , he knew sergey was the better boxer and fighter so he attempted to bring the fight to he's level

Kov was never a champion. He's a titlist. He's a top contender. And alt, nobody questions how Ward fought Kov except crybabies and alts like you.

Fans that night saw that Kov held a distinct size and reach advantage over Ward, and Ward had to overcome that early. I didn't think Ward won, I didn't think Kov lost. I scored it a draw.

You sore loser butthurt Kov fans have your own agenda. My agenda is to keep it real. It took Ward a while to solve Kov. There was no butting or purposeful clinching. This was a great fight. Kov wanted no parts of the inside game. That's not his game. Ward wanted to get inside. That's his game.

Ward was confident in his conditioning and he knew that Kovs punches wouldn't have the steam on them in the latter part of the fight which is why he kept trucking. Neither fought dirty. That ***gish headlock by Kov every time Ward tried to get inside was the only part of the fight where the fight got dirty and Kov got booed for that. He was trained to do that. Boxers run into brawlers and brawlers run into boxers. Quit crying because your guy lost. Your Mascara is running bitches lol.
