    although mayweather started out as a lighter fighter and hatton only moved up 7 lbs hatton was never really anything as a welter.
    he was a tough in your face light welter / but not in mayweathers class.

    ref nade it impossible for hatton to get inside and without being allowed to fight inside whatever chance he had to be competitive was gone.

    Very meaningful fight. 2 undefeated top 10 p4p fighters duelling it out was what made it epic. And Hatton didn't do too bad in the fight either, but most important fight of the 2000's? I have to disagree.

    Was the most meaningful fight by far, no other really comes that close.

    Tbh.

    It is what it is.

    Two top 10 undefeated fighters in the game, undefeated, in their absolute primes, biggest event duking it out for superiority. If that's not the most epic **** you've ever heard, I don't know what is.
