Vitali suffered one major cut in his career, and if you watch the film, it's unclear if Lewis who used an illegal backhand swipe with the laces are of the glove has anything to do with the cut.

His record here is 3-3, but Walcott won the first fight was robbed of victory according to 2/3 at ringside, and the surviving films show Walcott was better.

Byrd was not with King in the year he fought Vitali and Wlad. During that time he was managed by his wife.

Vitali's promotional outfit Universum had legal options over Byrd and he was under contract to rematch Vitali. Instead it went to Wlad because Vitali hadn't the gonads to face him again.
Vitali fought bum Hoffman instead in that SAME YEAR.

Byrd had a game plan for Vitali and it was frustrate him and take it to him late. He had just seen Purrity get Wlad late and that was the theory on how to beat them.
He went in with a strategy and he won by that strategy. At no point from round one onward was Byrd ever in any sort of trouble. He was toying with him and by the 5th he was making a total fool out of him. Thats why Vitali wanted no part of Byrd ever again.
A guy who can't beat Chris Byrd doesn't last two round with Louis. Fact.
