Show me the fights he won where he took a barrage of punches that would knock out most heavy weights??
Getting hit by Sanders doesn't prove you have an ATG chin. Sanders unloaded the kitchen sink into Rahman and couldn't put him away. He connected with far more clean shots on Rahman than he did on Vitali. I guess you never saw that fight. Plus Sanders was prime against Rahman. He was in the worst condition of his career against Vitali . He was in no shape to be boxing. That fight doesn't mean anything. It was like Povetkin vs Rahman fight.
I don't disagree. The Sanders fight does not prove an ATG chin. Still, those same shots got rid of his brother ... I did see the Sanders-Rahman fight btw. Look, I'm not saying Vitali had an ATG chin. It was a very good chin though (never stopped nor 'officially' knocked down). His chin reputation is also due to a very good defence and also taking some big shots from Lewis well. (Yes, he was stopped on cuts but that's nothing to do with his chin). However, I'd still rate some other chins higher, e.g. McCall for one.
thatsright11 contacted me and told me to say he thinks due to Vitali's destruction of Solis he thinks Vitali takes this one..
Wow!! He's starting to smarten up then!! Nah... I think what really happened is Zodius finally did a home invasion on him and hijacked his computer.
Vitali was simply too good to "land a barrage of punches on". Most guys were l;ucky to land a single good punch on him. Have you ever watched his fights? YDKSAB. Log off.
"AE: The only other 'A' lister you'd fought before Wladimir was Hasim Rahman (May 2000). You had him down and almost out but he got up to beat you. CS: Yeah, no excuses, the guy beat me. I had him but I ran out of steam and he came back. There were chances for me to beat him but he went away with the win and not me. It was a good fight which could have gone either way but he beat me fairly. AE: I heard you'd had a knee operation a couple of months before and you came in quite heavy for that fight. CS: Well, that's true, yes, but I don't want to sound like those guys who say 'no excuses' and then talk nothing but excuses. I don't like that all that. My preparations could have been a little better but maybe his could have, too, you know?" http://www.secondsout.com/archive/anthony-evans/q--a-with-corrie-sanders Fact: Sanders did no roadwork and almost no sparring for that fight. Wish I could agree, but he looked a lot worse in his tail end fights. Against Machimana he looked like a beached whale, he must have trained at the Dustin Nichols Gym n' BBQ for that one. I do agree that he could have looked much better against Vitali though.
You don't seem to know the difference between defence and a chin. How does not getting hit = ATG chin? That would equate to defence , not chin. How is it possible not to know this? You don't know the difference between defence and a chin and you're sayin i dksab? And NO , he simply wasn't too good to avoid a barrage of punches. You fail again. The best guy he fought who was in the worst state of his career tore his whole face off he hit him so much. Guys who don't get hit don't lose fights in 6 rounds looking like a grotesque monster. Toss your handle into the bin. Its done
I don't think Louis has the footwork needed to beat someone with Vitali's ring IQ. Vitali would just lean back and use his superior reflexes to keep Louis from landing on him. I think Vitali's relentless barrage of heavy punches would be too much for Louis, and Vitali would eventually wear him down and stop him in the middle rounds.
