Curtis Stevens had his eyes coming out of his skull, literally. So much for his tough guy thing of putting GGG in the grave.

Monroe got dropped and quit. Actually told the the ref I don't want anymore pain after getting up.

Wade got dropped and pretty much didn't beat the count on purpose.

All these guys think they're so tough. With their tattoos and thinking that the streets make them hard. They fold like paper the moment GGG even breathes on him. Forget about him landing clean. They squirm as soon as he looks at them.

At least guys like Murray and Brook put up an actual fight. And went out on their shield. None of this hood tough guy ****. WTF is all that street tough **** anyways?

How is Willie Monroe Jr a hood tough guy? Do we even know enough about Wade to say if he is or isn't?

Wade said he was a "thug" and might "break Golovkin's face". Sure he was on an assault charge for beating a woman too

As for Monroe and Stevens...I've no idea if they're like that. Monroe certainly doesn't seem that kinda guy to me

Stevens put up a picture with his boys with them visiting the grave trying to look super hard. With a caption saying he's going to send Golovkin to the cemetery. Stevens folded almost immediately once the fists started flying.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish with this thread? How do three individuals represent an entire community of folks who may have or may be living in an area where socioeconomic status is below the national average? As great as GGG is he is also a well schooled fighter afforded a great opportunity and combined with his natural talent has risen to stardom. Let's not confuse his success and boxing ability as some twisted indicator of his dominance and superiority over an entire population most besieged with societal barriers. Just like any other impoverished or lets say dodgy community there are men who laugh at GGG, Wade, Stevens etc.....thinking they are hard. I grew up with dudes like that....we were taken into gyms to work our tribulations, some took an interest and others even if talented could care less because the easy money was on the street.

I know you're trolling but it seems a select group of you on here always have this "not so hidden" agenda and to be honest its getting old.

Stevens didn't quit. He lasted longer and performed better than most of Golovkin's opponents. As far as generating his own offense he did better than Lemeiux. His body didn't hold up better than his though.

I think you're overanalyzing this a bit. All I said was that's it's hilarious to see these fake tough guys squirm and cower after talking so much trash and acting so hard. All because a man their own size punches them.

It was over after the 2nd round when one Golovkin left hook sent Stevens to the canvas. And he was flat on his ass with his eyes jumping out of his skull.

Stevens certainly deserved the beat down he received....awesome display of irony from the universe through GGG. I played on a traveling basketball team as a teen and played several games in Brownsville Brooklyn where Curtis is from and it was an inner city war zone. It wasn't Bosnia but relative to what goes on in city ghettos it wasn't a place where you saw prosperous folks fighting for a cause, it was more like a bunch of crabs in a barrel looking for a way out at all costs.

    Maybe I am,

You mentioned the whole tattoo thing and asked what up with the whole tough guy act...what is it, what does it mean. I was simply trying to shed some light on where it may derive from.

The whole tough guy thing is trying to appear tougher and more macho than you really are. These guys put up this image and they talk so much ****. So when they fold with so little resistance it's very ironic.

That's no NO MAS won't go away. Roberto Duran was boxing's ultimate tough guy. So when he quit because he felt embarrassed that looked really bad for him.

Nah I'm pretty sure he's right. Picking those three in particular is rather telling.

Who do you want me to pick, Martin Murray? The same guy who went 11 rounds with GGG? Ate everything Golovkin had and then joined him for a drink after the fight?

Roberto was tough....a bit egotistical but still tough as nails. Corrales was a tough guy with tattoos so was Tapia....maybe that breaks the mold for you lol. I re-watched the Alvarez vs Prescott fight last week man did Alvarez prove those tat's may possibly add to ones toughness.
