It's not that much worse. There isn't a tournament these days to highlight them, that's the main difference.

Don't forget that the Super6 needed the addition of 2 big name career middleweights (Taylor and Abraham) to complete the scedule and keep Bute out.

 

this isnt true, in fact Degale is trumping guys like cowardzaghe in terms of opponent quality with every fight so far.

Degale will likely became the next british SMW to surpass calzaghe.

Yeah it's gotten worse no doubt but it's not that bad. DeGale and Jack are solid fighters, Groves is decent but flawed. The division lacks any real stand out talents now and the lack of a tournament like the Super 6 to highlight a wider range of fighters means we don't know how deep the talent is.

Callum Smith looks decent enough, though I think he has flaws as well which might get exposed when he moves up in class.

degale used to be a right k*ob until groves humbled him(although it was close), i quite like him at the moment.
i prefer jack though, it was so unfortunate the loss he took in the first round.

to be fair, the super 6 made the division more popular.
andre ward would have gone even longer without a fight without that tournament

And to touch on that subject 168 isn't a weak division at all with guys like Jack, DeGale, Abraham, Zurdo,Groves, Zeuge, Chavez Jr, chudinov, porky Medina, Jleon love, Dirrell, Sturm, De carolis, Bursak, figenbutz, THEn YOU GOT some prospects LIKE Jessie Hart, Cullum Smith, David Benevidez, Rocky Fielding, uzetecki, if that's even how you spell it..lol..
