I personally don't think he is that stupid... but I guess you never know. I expect him to be cautious. He really only fights like that against real light hitters. If he surprises me and does fight face first.... we could see some interesting moments, for sure.
Theres only so many times you can smash a brick wall before it crumbles At his age GGG would be crazy to fight the way he did against Brook again. Hell those Brook uppercuts and combos would have put many a 160 out
I don't think he let Brook hit him like he did Wade and Munroe. Brook is a sharp puncher and has never had difficulty finding the target against anyone. He beckoned Brook forward, but he didn't actually let him hit him.
Fans don't understand it's still dangerous to let fighters who can't punch to tee of you at that level
Golovkin can't do a Lemieux type number on Jacobs because Jacobs isn't a face first, come forward plodder with zero head movement or defense. Jacobs actually has skills, his chin will be his downfall here.
Yes, GG sometimes fights reckless if he doesn't fear an opponent's power but he never gives free shots. That's a myth. Take one to land one, yes. Letting himself be hit for the fun of it, is merely the kind of legend which fans bestow upon him....
I really don't think GGG is going to play around with Jacobs. I think he'll be out to end it swiftly and quick to make a statement because of the hacking he's gotten for the Brook fight.
Go watch the monroe fight he knocked mony down early to show who was boss then played around with him then stopped him
