It's a myth. If you want to believe it fine, I can see how that raises his appeal to fans. But he's an elite professional boxer and they don't tale shots for the fun of it. In fact, to imply he does, kinda turns him into a bit of a circus act and I hold him in higher regard than that....
How is it impossible to believe? It's no coincidence he knocked monroe early and later let him back in the fight you have to understand ggg was in camp for 3 months and all his other fights end early he wanted to get round and when he had enough he changed gears anyone with a brain could see this
GGG has done it (let punches in) so many times if u don't believe it with your own eyes you are stupid..he does it in every fight
Stop questioning the Triple God! You are triple wrong in your assessment! Golovkin lets himself get hit only after he feels out his opponents and measures whether or not he can be hurt. You should know better shame on you
He might not take punches 'for the fun of it' but it seems fairly obvious he becomes a borderline face first fighter against certain levels of opposition, that involve him taking more punches than when he fights more disciplined. So whether he does it for fun... probably not. To create excitement, and allow him to land more punches on an opponent that can't hurt him... probably. Either way he does it.
See? I took that post straight on the chin. Offered it up for you to land right on the point. I'm the Triple G of ESB...
He'd be completely stupid to do so, that is unless Danny drills him hard with a perfect counter L hook and he doesnt feel the buzz....in that case, he might as well call out Beterbiev for his next fight.
I guess I am slightly guilty of hair-splitting over this. I think we can agree most of the time he's not boxing in fear of the KO and when he did recognise that as a possibility (Lemieux) he boxed more cautiously. I guess what riles me is this impression he just stands there and lets people repeatedly punch him in the face for no good reason. I mean 'that' uppercut from Brook came nowhere near stopping GG but I bet it still ****ing hurt.
Ggg will approach jacobs exactly like he approached lemuix. Both very dangerous for 6 rounds, then he'll treat him like brook with no worries about what the viciously fatigued jacobs can throw back
I think It's more of a weakness than being something to brag about. Him losing his discipline, abandoning his jab, his technique and pedigree going out of the window after tasting his opponents power and deciding that he doesn't have much to worry about cost him some rounds against Brook, Monroe and Ouma and he might find himself well behind on the scorecards against a durable, skillful but light-hitting opponent some day.
What moment was that? Stevens got some good shots off but I didn't see any freebes. GGG did beat the brakes off his ass doe.
Brook had GGG worried. I don't know who the harder puncher is between Stevens and Brook but GGG took Stevens shots a lot better than he did Brook's.
