    You've hit the nail right on the head here.

    Khan had a huge following, massive interest in his fights on ITV at arenas like the MEN whilst enjoying lucrative endorsement deals with the likes of Reebok.

    The problems started when he went to America and abandoned many of the people who supported him on the way up, taking humbling losses whilst still talking himself up as a p4p great and dismissing his fellow pros.

    In fairness to Degale people didn't like him and his Kidulthood attitude from the off. He never got the credit he should have for his gold medal because of the way he won it and the utter disappointment that Harrison had been after winning his medal.
