Canelo vs Degale @ 168, who you got?????

WAAAAAAYYYYY too big for Canelo

 

Canelo has fought 1lb over the LMW limit on a technicality. He showed in his last fight he can still make 154 comfortably. If Golovkin had a few fights at 161 would you say he'd been fighting at SMW?

All these fight night weights, 30 day weigh ins don't mean anything in regards to a fighters actual size. Brook weighed more than GGG apparently on fight night, and at the 30 day weigh in, is Brook as big as GGG? Not even close. Some fighters are just more disciplined with how they look after their bodies between fights, and rehydrating (water weight) is not the same as natural weight. GGG could never safely make 154 he's way too big. Canelo can, and easily. This is the clearest indication of a fighters size.

 

Far as I remember he was bigger than GGG at 30 days, actually.

Brook was 11 lb heavier than Golovkin.

 

I think that weight is too much for Canelo. I think he can get away with it fighting limited big guys like chavez Jr, but a big guy as schooled as DeGale, it wouldn't go well for Canelo. DeGale UD12

 

That was my point. He was a whole 11 lbs (didn't know it was that much) heavier than GGG 30 days out but is clearly the much smaller guy.

 

Honestly they looked about the same. Golovkin isn't very good at cutting weight imho.

Where Golovkin is definitely bigger is in his massive torso. He's really thick there, and I reckon a lot of it's back muscles.

No worries. To my eyes GGG has a much thicker frame, if Brook had the kind of frame GGG does there's no way he could get down to 147.

 

Degale is a good fighter but a Canelo win is better for GGGs legacy

 

-First person to KD Trout
-Made Lara run a hell of a lot more than he EVER has against any fighter
-Made Cotto fight a different fight, had him on the back foot the entire fight, very unlike Cotto
-First person to KD and KTFO Liam Smith
-Only person to batter Angulo the way he did
-One of two people to outslug and KO James Kirkland


I think Alvare'z power is fine, and above average.

 

At SMW I would strongly favour Degale

 

James has been trying to sing the tune that 3G is a huge weight cutter. But the info he brings to back his statements make no sense. And yet, he does this every month or so, repeating the same crap. It's mind-bogglingly crazy the stuff some people post here!!! As if making up stuff is perfectly acceptable now!!

At 168 I don't. And I really don't know how the **** that is so hard to comprehend
