I don't even see how Jersey would land anything on Vitali. He couldn't get close enough.. And even if he gets inside, what's he going to do ? Trade with a 6'7, 245 lbs dude with a proven chin ? The best Walcott can hope for is for Vitali to throw out his shoulder swinging at him.
Skill wise its not even close. Walcott was a Ferrari . Vitali an old rusted up pick up truck that gives out when you need it most. Saying that Vitali would probably win just because of his size. Id have to see Walcott against bigger men since the eye test is the only way to get a proper handle on these things.
Do you realize most of his opponents who also beat him were in the same boat pre WW II? Post WW II Walcott lost to a much smaller light punching light heavyweight Joey Maxim, and a Rex Layne, who would be too small to compete today and is best known for losing his biggest matches. He also lost to Elmer Ray, who was a decent puncher, but perhaps not the best boxer or finisher. Please explain how in the world he's matches up to Vitali? He doesn't is the logical truth.
Skill wise Floyd Mayweather was a fully loaded Lamborghini while Tyson Fury is the Fred Flinstone car. Doesn't mean I'd pick Mayweather to beat him.
I don't think Walcott beats Vitali but citing his early career losses to prove anything is disingenuous, especially coming from you who probably knows the exact circumstances of those losses as I mentioned before.
I cited three losses post WW II and that had nothing to do with Louis or Marciano. Nothing disingenuous about that Pugilist. Yes, he had it tough early. Lots of fighters do. If he had better durability, maybe he wins some he lose early. Walcott learned his craft in the gym, and he's a rare case who was better because of it, as he developed a style of his own that worked very well for him. If he was force fed by a trainer, IMO he would not be as good.
No but many people picked Floyd to beat Canelo despite being almost 30 pounds lighter on fight night.
Umm.. What? Floyd was announced as 150 and Canelo was announced as 152.. Are you saying that Alvarez gained 28 lbs since the weigh in ? How the fvck is that even possible?
Simple answer... He didn't.. Klitschko landed 132 of 502 total punches Byrd connected on 124 of 284 total punches
Right touching story. He wasn't a heavyweight and got beat by guys who were light heavyweights and cruiserweights so like I said for to he dumb dumbs who post in he classic section that means he could beat modern sized heavyweights. You can live in your delusional fantasy world where 190 pound glass chin cruiserweights could beat modern heavyweights and I will live in the real world where I block you.
Where do you get your information from? Vitali threw more, landed more, and landed the harder punches. Byrd did NOT outland Vitali.
Yeah I explained that to him and showed him the punch stats. Let's see how he tries to finagle his way out of that one.
Well, he's L.U.F "CRAZY " I wonder what the LUF stands for? It could explain things. I had the Byrd vs Vitali fight at 6-2-1 at the end for the 9th, similar to the judges. Vitali not only out landed and out threw he controlled the fight until the very end.
