Not just a southpaw who can bang a bit, if I remember correctly he also has quite a long reach doesn't he? If so, it could be very tough for Ricky if he can't get his jab going. I would expect him to try and work the body in this fight as much as possible.

I don't know much about Indongo, so people will need to fill me in how good he is ability wise?

The fact he's a Southpaw is already a negative against Burns, but massive fights on the horizon if he wins.

Indongo caused an upset with Troyanovsky but he won't with Ricky.
Troyanovsky feet were all wrong and deserved to be knocked out. Points victory for Ricky

Comparitive stats - on Boxrec - so take that for what it's worth:

Burns - height 5ft10 (always doubted that but never stood very close to him) - reach 70"
    Indongo - height 5ft10.5 - reach 71.5"

Agreed - the main stat to be concerned about is the southpaw stance.

Oh ffs they have included the IBO, all eyes on the Eubanks twitter accounts.

This is obvious proof the IBO is a serious player

    War Burns,

Love him to do it. Didn't he loose a load of money through ties to a some promotional company....

    Would be some achievement.

Yes, that scum bag fish eyes underpayed Burns and took his money. Ive read somewhere that when Ricky first became world champion he still worked a job.

Imagine being a world champion boxer and still going to work.

As far as I'm aware that was voluntary from Ricky. I swear I remember reading in an interview that he loved working his part time job in JD Sports or something similar. Billy Nelson could probably clarify it.

The sooner this burns charade ends and the nobody's who piggy back off the carcass of the end of his career is taken away from them the better. Absolute charlatans some of they undercard jokers.

Ricky seems like a nice enough bloke and all and I'll be happy for him if he wins fair and square but this might be another slap in the face for the light welter weight division.

Arguably the poorest three weight world champion ever becoming the worst unified champ ever? No thanks.

Does Indongo have much of a chance of getting a fair shake in Scotland?

Ricky Burns is a huge over achiever, what he has managed to achieve is amazing and beating Indongo would put the cherry on top.

Nothing to sniff at, somebody has to be the worst!!!! I don't think unifying is better than being a 3 weight champ by any means but unifying in his highest weight class is certainly impressive.

I think Indongo khtfo but good luck to Ricky

You are so far wrong it's laughable, let's just say the figure Ricky was supposed to earn to fight Mitchell he go exactly half that in his first fight for Matchroom and against a far harder opponent, I knew a Matchroom staff who bet Gonzalez to beat Ricky. yes Ricky worked in a sports shop that was choice or fun not has he needed to.
