I think starting out fast and catching GGG cold is Jacobs' best option. In a fight where both guys can punch but there's a real difference in the levels of chin, the guy with the worse chin is better off to go all in early. The longer the fight goes, the more the difference in punch resistance has to manifest itself. I might feel differently if Jacobs had a skills advantage here, but I don't think he's got that. Besides, to fight a conservative fight is out of Jacobs' nature. He should do what he does best and try to make an impression early- he's knocked out everyone he's fought since Pirog six years ago, so don't reinvent the wheel now.
he is faster but he's no master boxer I was watching some of jacobs older fights priog had him looking clueless I know anyone can get caught but I just don't see it happening but I've beer wrong before
I don't think he's a "master" technician. He's no Marlon Starling, Mike McCallum or James Toney. But he's certainly a technical fighter who understands what he's doing in the ring, watch his feet and hands. I'd say he's a 7/10 skill wise.
Jacobs' will look for a hole to crawl into when his hometown crowd is supporting Golovkin. He is entitled and emotionally fragile. He will feel betrayed mentally and give up when he realizes his crowd is rooting for GGG.
If Danny decides to brawl he s toast, he should fight from a distance as much as he can. He has longer arms. In any case, this fight has highlight reel ko written all over it.
A street fight is higher risk obviously, but it's the only chance he's got of winning. Otherwise Gennady will just jab, jab and jab. Press the attack, pivot, press the attack, fight, run around the ring for a breather, restart.
Anybody can get KO'd with a single punch under the right circumstances, even good chins like Big George and Iron Mike. But that's unlikely to happen with GGG at MW (unless he moves up in weight class). IMO, his chin is his most notable asset, more so than his power.
Why is that funny? I say go for the gusto and try to take his ass out early...aint nobody tryna fight this mofo for 30+ min. Plus ggg doesnt win on points he should be thinking the same. Bet big win big. Go hard or go home.
Jacobs said he was going to get SOB Ward to teach him how to fight Golovkin..................if so, that means Jacobs will hold, run, grab Golovkin's leg, know that all he has to do is be standing at the end of the fight and they prejudiced judges will give Jacobs the fight...............those judges are crooks......................
He'll no. Like i said before, He needs to stay on the outside and pick his shots. If he tries to bully GGG he's going to get knocked out. He's got to fight a controlled fight if he's going to have a shot at winning this.
Exactly. And thats why he's training with Hunter for this fight. Thing is, you cant become a boxer in two months. Other thing is, can he keep on game plan after he feels GGG's leather. He needs a loooot of mental strenght to win a fight like this. Like Danny said himself, he's going against " the ultimate opponent ". Good luck to him, he gonna need it From March 18 on Danny Jacobs will have my outmost respect as a fighter, no matter what happens.
Most reactions show why you get 8 to 1 or even wider odds on Jacobs in this. Every strategy comes down to hoping he lands a bomb, cause without that happening he has no path to victory. Starting a slugfest would give him a somewhat better chance of landing it, but we know he really lacks the chin to stay on his feet for long that way. Everything comes down to landing something huge before Golovkin takes him out.
Which of his fights do you think he looks the best in serious question id like to see more of him maybe you'll change my mind
