Mayweather/McGregor Fight Discussion

That Mayweather video is jokes where he talks about trying to get the fight done. He wants $100 mil and they offered McGregor $15 mil.

McGregor is dizzy if he thinks he can get 50/50.

 

As a Conor Mcgregor fan, I agree with Mayweather. Conor started the mess, so if he really wants it then he will have to go in the boxing ring and try to take it.

Although I'm also a fan of MMA, If Floyd loses the MMA vs Boxing talk is going to become insufferable. Floyd's declined considerably through age, and has also been out of the ring for over a year which could lead to another BHop situation. I really could care less who wins out of these two, sadly casuals think it would be actually be a competition even though the Floyd from the Berto match should be enough to win this comfortably.

Boxing and MMA are both combat sports, but at the same time they are completely different sports. Even outside of combat sports we had Jarryd Hayne, one of the best players in Rugby attempt to move to NFL. Where is he now......

Floyd would do a Rousey on that mick's ass if he tried to outbox Floyd.

 

Boring. This would be an embarrassment to Floyd, Connor, UFC and boxing.

I have no problem with Floyd getting 100 million exposing yet another hypejob that uses Floyds name to promote himself. It's another case where the media and fans who support in building guys up on like-ability and popularity rather than on merit are put in a position to eat their own words again and show just how truly ******ed they are.

They did it with Manny Pacquiao. They do it today with fighters such as GGG, Connor who was preceded by Ronda Rousey to name a few people. It pisses me off. And this just goes to show why Floyd broke all records regardless of you haters who claim he was just cherry picking after the fact that he was indeed just fighting the next great media creation hence why his fights sold so much. Until we stop hyping fighters up rating them off popularity contests instead of actual merit, I have no problem with a guy like Floyd essentially robbing the (******ed) masses for an easy payday.

This is not Floyds fault at all. This has everything to do with this new popularity contest, American Idol, Kim Kardashion society we live in. Deal with your own creations I say.

Is this fight a farce? Of course it is. But so are these people who get hyped beyond the ****ing moon to the point where these hypejobs like Connor and GGG although never making 15 million paydays believe they should get paid more just on hype alone against proven moneymakers with factual, tangible support as to why the figures are the way they are and these idiots fans that support such nonsense.

I'm all for this fight although I won't buy it. Before you guys think I'm a Floyd dick rider, I still to this day have never seen the Berto fight. I only support this fight in hopes for people to realize the ******ed direction society is heading into as a whole.

I have a problem with this fight because it takes out $150 million from peoples pockets that could be invested in 10 big awesome 'real' boxing fights. Of course the real world doesn't work like that, never has never will, I get it. Just saying...

Agree. The Floyd that barely broke a sweat against Berto would beat Connor with two broken arms.

BTW - Jarryd Hayne is back playing Rugby League living on the Gold Coast making a cool 1.5mil per annum plus endorsements. Not bad for an NFL reject.

 

Conor didn't start anything actually, Floyd did. Floyd was the one spreading rumors about the fight before the whole thing started. Conor already told him his price: 100 million.

But why don't we just make this truly even, and do it with MMA gloves + standup, and no grappling.
