Gil Clancy was a great trainer who's never laced up a pair of gloves. You don't need to have boxed to understand both hardship and what is required to achieve greatness.
Anyway, this will put more fire under Ward now and will get him really motivated for the rematch so I'm excited to see what Ward can do differently and subsequently what Kovalev can do about that.

Floyd just loves loves loves to stir the pot and put his name in the headlines.

Although Ward did lose the fight, I think Floyd is butthurt because he told Andre not to take the fight cuz Andre will get ****ed by the judges and they'll never give him the decision.

When in fact the complete opposite happend lol

    I say this

Keep the fight as it was, just reverse the decision.

You can BET your house that Floyd would've told Andre

" Yo Andre I told u so !!! You won but they screwed you"

    This is Floyd folks

Most people think Ward lost. Even many of his boys who are on friendly terms with him and were rooting hard for him think he lost but don't really want to admit to it in publc

It was a close fight. People see different things during a fight. No one is wrong or right with fights this close.

Kovalev was seen as Ivan Drago and Ward 'beat' him. Floyd can't handle that. He sounds like a bitter ex girlfriend.
I do definitely sense a slight animosity between the two and it was growing. The problem with Floyd is that he struggles to maintain real, long term friendships with people because he needs to be the focus, whereas friendship is a two-way street and multifaceted, not one dimensional.

No man, Hunter is a massively overrated trainer, poor in my opinion who happened to meet up with a great talent in Ward.

Ward made Hunter in the same way Joe Calzaghe made his father, in other words both fighters had great talent and would have become imo world champions regardless of trainers.

Most people saw things that favored Kovalev. Especially most knowledgeable people and people in attendance. Not saying the fight wasn't competitive but outside a small vocal minority in chatrooms most people myself included feel Kovalev won clearly. Doesn't mean Ward is bad or that he didn't have his moments. Ward is a terrific fighter.

I don't personally think that at all. I find that Hunter and Ward click but Hunter's coaching skills aren't transferrable to other fighters because Hunter is more of a creator than moulder. He caught Ward young and was able to really shape him from the get go. Ward pulled off the greatest ever Olympic reign in amateur history and that couldn't be by talent alone, especially given the complexity of Ward's style and method.

Ward's idols are Floyd, Roy, and B-Hop. He references them often and openly admits to being heavily influenced by them and borrowing a lot from their styles. Virgil Hunter is a big fan of Floyd's too and he has waxed lyrical about him in public on numerous occasions.
