Which in your opinion would be a harder fight for GGG?

    Jacobs
6 foot big for middelweight with a long reach and big power at 160

    Canelo
5 foot 8 moving up to 160 has decent power at 154

Just imo but I think Canelo. I think hes got better skils, more imposing in the pocket, more dangerous combinations and more durable, than Jacobs. Jacobs has the size and comparable power... but most other attributes I give to Canelo.

    Canelo, slightly.
Due to a better chin and more experience. Also he can't let Canelo make it to the final bell for obvious reasons.
I do believe that Jacobs is a better fighter as Canelo at 160 though.

Jacobs is taller with a longer reach and has clearly much more power then canelo and his skills are also good.

better experience fighting khan and a 41 year old mosley?

Imagine what a 160 ib jacobs would of done with khan and kirkland?

Jacobs single win over a big 160 fighter in quillin is better h2h then anyone canelo beat

I got to disagree with you kirk if jacobs was fighting the smaller guys canelo fought namely khan and kirland and cotto he would also be very durable they got big names i give you that.

Jacobs single win over a big 160 fighter in quillin is better then any win canelo has had h2h

Doesn't change anything to me, imo. Against Golovkin, combination punching, counterpunching, speed, and durability, are key points... more important than height and one punch power. I feel Canelo is superior to Jacobs in those areas.

Jacobs skill are overrated to me. To me, hes just a big, powerful fighter thats pretty basic. Kinda a diet jermain taylor. No disrespect to Jacobs, i like him but its just how i see it.

I agree with all the things u say above. But disagree that Jacobs is more dangerous than canelo for GGG. To me both lost to GGG, but canelo will last longer based on experience, durability, chin and counter punching skill.
Beating quilin is better than any win canelo had, this also true that it is better win than any GGG win lol. But it has no bearing on the question you posted.

Fair enough on the durability, Richards. I suppose if you gave Jacobs Canelos opposition, the perception of his durability might be different.

I have no reason to think hes got more durability than Canelo though, so lets say they are even there. Canelos pocket presence, speed and combination punching, improving defense along with his ever improving counter punching still sees him the better fighter and more dangerous to G.

    Just imo

Hopefully we get to see the fights unfold and compare performances

Head to head indeed, but strengths and weaknesses play a big part in how a boxer measures up to Golovkin.
And of course Alvarez has more experience in big fights. Even though you can make a point of him losing at least half of them

jacobs too will look amazing against khan and kirkland and he would not go the distance with hatton.

Canelo has no big power at 154 let alone 160

Jacobs has fought stronger bigger guys with much better durability then canelo

Jacobs is bigger naturally has a long reach

There probably isn't. Probably not even one that Alvarez fought. ;)
But that isn't the question here is it?!

Norton beat Ali (3 times even in my opinion) but got slaughtered by a couple of big hitters because of his lack of chin.

It's about how they would measure up against Golovkin. And many here think that Alvarez has the edge in that department.
