GGG is #2 on Forbes by the way, only behind Canelo. Floyd-GGG would do huge numbers as well, easily half of Floyd-Canelo.

First of all, GGG would never fight Floyd at 152 lbs. Second, you just admitted that Canelo is a bigger draw "easily half of Floyd-Canelo".

Oh, I definitely agree that Canelo is the bigger draw. I was just making a few related points.

Also, to be fair, Floyd-GGG numbers (I think it would've been at 154 lb) would have been inflated because people always wanted to see Floyd lose (not saying it would definitely happen but there would be a good chance of Floyd getting KO'ed, unlike most of his other fights).

Totally agree on the first part.

I don't think Floyd would have agreed on 154 lb, but if he did the outcome would have been the same. That's a lot of weight for GGG to shed off. Floyd by wide UD 118 - 110.

For me the outcome of Floyd-GG @154 lb just depends on how drained GGG is and whether Floyd is too old.

The Berto fight indicated to me that Floyd was wise enough to realize that he had declined somewhat due to age. Also I think GGG can actually make 154 lb alright, so I would lean towards GGG. But who knows? There is a solid case for a Floyd decision as you stated.

Canelo has made three offers. Ggg needs to find his pen already and sign one of those offers.

Yup, Floyd knew his number was up and that it was time to hang the gloves. I don't believe GGG can make 154 lb, he's never fought on that weight class and didn't even want to negotiate weight with Canelo.

Like Apollo's trainer told him "that man is all wrong for you", GGG wouldn't be competitive at 154 lb.

Come on man have some dignity - we've been through this. At least two of those offers were a joke not worthy of consideration as evidenced by the last 15m offer.

You keep saying that this is the best offer Golovkin can hope for each time despite having been proven to be unequivocally wrong twice already. What makes you think you're right this time?

I think that's a step too far for Mayweather. It's not like he started at 147 and at his age I simply don't think he was up to that task lest Golovkin be totally debilitated by the weight making process. I'd also say that he never needed Golovkin - just like he didn't need Ward at 160 - to be assured of his place in history and that the people clamouring for that fight are just people who want to see him lose.

Ggg is going to miss his opportunity for glory and a mega payday if 15 mil isn't enough. I'll be very surprised if GBP pays him more than that.
No one with Ggg's drawing power, or resume has ever made 15 million dollars as a b side.

Agreed, plus Floyd only went up to 154 lb for massive money fights Canelo, ODLH.

But you said $8m at 155 was great no? So can we agree it's been proven you don't know what the **** you're talking about?

A percentage split is what should happen. We all know it but those of you who hate Golovkin won't admit it.

I have said before that K2 should be willing to take the $15 million. I think a percentage split is the best solution but K2 need to be willing to take the flat fee if necessary rather than let GGG get old.

It is a complicated situation, though, as GGG's market value is hard to determine. PPV buys? Not good, but no one is doing particularly well since May-Pac. Canelo and Pacquaio are doing OK but that's it. Resume? very poor for a superstar obviously.

However, he does get a lot of coverage (hype if you're not a fan). Here in the UK even papers which don't usually cover boxing are doing stories on GGG-Canelo and GGG-Jacobs.

And nearly lost the ODLH match whilst a good deal younger against a faded Oscar. He also struggled with Cotto there so you'd have to say each time he's gone north of 154 he's looked a lesser fighter which considering how low he started is fair enough.

Him and Pac do have limits despite what their fans tell you.
