Were still on the same boat as the last thread about this fight. Nothing definitive if Al Haymon and Bomb Squad havent agreed to anything. If someone proves otherwise, great! Please provide source.
That's about the average gap between fights that Parker has had so far over the last 18 months, including his mandatory challenger eliminator and his title fight - so considering Wilder is fighting the easiest legit defense he could manage it's not that far fetched.
According to Wilder, the answer is yes : "They are talking about fighting in April and I'd love to come back and fight again in April." At lot of fighters wouldn't do it, come straight back ... but I want to make a great impression in 2017." "If all goes well with this fight, I wouldn't mind turning right around and coming back and fighting Joseph Parker to unify the division with his WBO belt and my WBC belt, and do it that way."
Possibly the least dangerous top fighter Wilder could take on at the moment. I'm a fan of Parker but IMO he's unquestionably a weaker beltholder than Joshua, but still a legit world champion which gives him more legitimacy than someone like Povetkin or Ortiz to the casuals, even though he isn't as good as them (not sure abour Ortiz though).
Read the post I responded to and you will understand the reason I responded in that fashion. Just a tit for tat answer.
Oh you must be talking about Parker's team Do they have a fight lined up at the end of February ? I dont think so If they would've had one then I would question their intentions of fighting an unification 7 weeks later. From mid-December to April , Parker has more than enough time to be ready
Curious to know if i'm the only one who thinks there are 2 outcomes to this fight 1. Wilder by KO 2. Parker by UD (after wobbling Wilder more than once)
I would love to see this fight happened but I doubt Wilder really wants it, Regardless of what he says He likes to talk a good, confident game, but for some strange reason, he has fought anyone good yet I will believe it when I see it
