Why does Jason Sosa have such a low profile?

    Hmm was just thinking,.. for an American world champion very tough guy..he has a very low profile..and doesn't get spoke about on here much... why is that?

    it's funny how all these Gimps and Willys, etc that are apparently just american boxing fans... don't ever mention this guy

    I liked and hyped him before the Walters fight, before the Fortuna fight and the Smith fight, so I'm an American and I like Jason Sosa.:D

    To answer your question Americans didn't get to see the Fortuna and Smith matches, because they weren't aired on US TV.

    His two best wins were overseas and had little to no U.S. tv coverage.

    His one big shot on HBO was a draw to Walters in a fight he definitely lost. If he's been on tv any other time it was a small show with minor coverage at best.

    He needs to pick up a notable win on a major network if he's going to raise his profile. He has a title so he could get his chance this year.

    Because his resume is paper thin? The one big fight he had on US television, he lost.
    And the second rate WBA belt he holds - he won it in China. And it´s not like Fortuna is that well known himself.

    All in all, Sosa has not done much to garner any real attention.

    He deserves another shot on U.S. TV.

    Unfortunately, all most fans here know of him is that he's the guy that got a gift draw vs the Axe Man, and Nick's stock isn't too hot right now after the Loma fight, either.

    I guess a rematch between them would make sense on some levels.

    Because he's not a blue chip prospect. Likewise with Smith Jr. Nor have they expressed personality.

    So let me get this straight because Americans don't create threads about every semi-successful fighter that lives on American soil it automatically means they A. DKSAB or B. Only support fighters who you think have benefited from some sort of affirmative action or lastly C. satisfy a particular target audience.

    I think we can all agree the thread subject quality has been depreciated to the point that its void of all measurable intellect. Some folks on here are just truly miserable.

    Based on this quote we can totally say it could also be because he's not a white American signed to Aram whose hobbies and interests including quail hunting and welfare system abuse. Well at least we aren't directly offending anyone today.
