Has Adam Smith permanently replaced Nick Halling on Sky commentary?

No idea but I like Adam. And what a fight that was between Khytrov and Aleem.

 

Thought Halling went with Watt but can faintly recollect him commentating on fights after auld Jim's departure. Not sure. Here's hoping anyway. Though Adam Smith's not great either.

 

Brilliant. Not even Froch could ruin it.

Great, knew the result going into the fight.

 

Jeez that kid davies is some force, he wiped the floor with pedraza.
Theres some great fights to come from him.

 

Halling didnt get his contract renewed. He was a terrible commentator anyway.

 

I'm watching the Showtime broadcast right now and in the preview to the main event Nick Halling is interviewing James Degale right now. lol.

 

Nooooooo! My worst fears have been confirmed.

 

Froch is the worst co commentator! Clearly somebody has said stop talking about yourself so now he just repeats what Smith says followed by a cliche saying haha

 

What a night

 

They sound similar to me anyway and are both annoying.......trying too often to stick to a narrative or hype even if it contrasicts whats actually happening

How many times tonight was degale getting bigged up for combinations thatwere just hitting arms and gloves

 

Adam Smith shouts nonsense all the time and Froch simply repeats it.

'What a great fight' roars Smith followed by 'this is a great fight' by Froch.

Would not be so bad if this coming out during great fights but this is sometimes coming out in round three of average fights

 

I ****ing hope so. Not the best by any means but a massive upgrade on the irritating and biased Halling.

One thing they really need to though is appropriately replace Jim Watt. He actually added to these nights and made them better.
Froch is a self promoting, charisma lacking git
Paul Smith has shown himself to be biased and is a decent cure for insomnia,
Paulie is the best they have by some distance but worked for Showtime last night.

 

Smith was hysterical in the GGG Brook fight. "This is turning into a mini Hagler Hearns". Just one of his cringeworthy lines.

On Nick Halling, I saw him on TV doing some commentary on a League Two match for BT Sport the other day
