    Davies looks a great talent and that was a very impressive performance by him. I don't know much about Pedraza but he's clearly tough. Not the highest ring IQ though. All machismo and no smarts. He took way too much unnecessary punishment in the early rounds and indeed throughout the whole fight. Ultimately I think Davies was just way too talented for him so I really don't think it would've changed the outcome of the fight. But had he fought with more smarts it certainly would've stood him in better stead and saved him a few 100,000 brain cells.

    Davis was also skilled enough to hang around in the pocket and defuse a lot of Pedraza's occasional high work rate.. He settled down and stopped moving several times, probably to catch a breather while being defensively responsible.

    He stayed calm under pressure as well, and his bodywork helped sap Pedraza's ability to pressure him. I saw Pedraza subtly shake his head after a hard body jab to the gut from Davis.

    Wow. Broner really sounds like he matured. He sounded humble. I hope he really takes a disciplined approach and can stick with it. He has all the ability in the world to go far in this sport.
