I never his amateur career so I can't disagree, I just know he tucks up, comes forward and throws lots of combos, no feet movement whatsoever I was always more impressed with Dereyanchenko of the two.
khythov used to cut off the ring beutifully , and was a pressure fighter who traded and could set up he's shots, now he is just a face first brawler who goes for the knockout, he's trainers are useless he needs lomachenko to train him again ya since they turned pro iv rated sergey a lot higher
Cause some of these fans have been following him for a long time and want to be the one to say that they identified a top fighter from the beginning. Except they don't have the boxing knowledge to truly pick out hidden gems that aren't obvious greats. That's ok, not many can do that but it's funny to watch folks pretend. They should be more like me and wait until they step up against gatekeepers and contenders first before crowning them.
He has sucked since turning pro. His trainers are awful and this proves it. They've taken some important signature qualities away from him.
No one was being an idiot about supporting Khytrov. Some of us have been big fans since he was in the ams because of the evidence he had shown of him being a power punching skilled operator. Since turning pro, we haven't seen anywhere near that level of skill and it's been very, very strange. Take a look at his 2011 World Amateur Championship reign.
