Degale will have done well to enter that conversation. He's young enough to make it happen but something tells me that it any going to happen.

    Can't see it...

Forget how good a fighter Calzaghe was...

He doesn't have the skills/stamina. Doesn't have the time to match JCs longevity. Has the time to go on a run like Froch at the end of his career but where are the big fights at SMW, he'd have to go up and fight Ward...

No chance, Calzaghe would school him.

Also, Froch would be too relentless and would stop DeGale late.

H2h its obvious both froch and definately calxaghe would beat Degale.

But he does have a chance to surpass their ressume. But he would need 4/5 good names on his ressume. So far he has none so well far of the mark.

The problem with Calzaghe is we simply don't know how good he really was as his career was mainly wasted on Peter Manfredo and Evans Ashira types.

46 wins from 46 fights is difficult to knock but he does not appear to get the same public recognition and love afforded to the likes of Benn, Eubanks, Bruno etc.

Joe could have been another Mayweather for all we know but the record simply does not show it.

Adrien Sterling is a troll. Probably best to ignore him

It's probably yet another alt of that mentally ill pakistani troll PRINCĀ£/Cupid Stunt Khan fanboy who was always totally pro black pro mixed raced, and anti white.

His personality didn't really help him on the recognition front. He came across as a nice bloke but a bit dull and that doesn't sell fights.

Fair point. I just dont think there are enough top level opponents at the moment for Degale to pit his skills against.
