I haven't seen the fight yet (and yes I know I'm a lousy boxfan), but what I read here is that there's not really a majority voice here for one or the other.

Of course I have to see it for myself to come to a valid conclusion, but it seems to me now like it's a decent result.

This fight is why people talk about winning the event but not the fight and is one of the few cases where the rounds scoring system can be misleading.

They probably won a similar number of rounds, but the rounds DeGale won, he snuck most of them whereas Jack won his clearly. Unfortunately, the rounds system doesn't care about hence the fight looks close on the cards when bell to bell, Jack was in more control than DeGale and inflicted more damage.

I am British and mind blown that it was a draw, i could see the argument without the last knock down but with the last knock down for me jack won clearly, it was a great close fight tho but jack stepped it up that little bit more for me.

    That makes no sense.

A draw is impossible without the final knockdown.

It's easy enough to score 6 rounds for Degale 1,2,4,9,10,11.

I may be getting mixed up with 4 and 5.

The point being that regardless of how strong looked in 12 it doesn't change what happened in the earlier rounds.

Looking at the cards two judges had Degale winning 7 and two had Jack winning 9.

Talking about a robbery is crazy, it was a very close fight.

Draw or Deagle by one or two.

A good last round can sway facts and what happened before

Floyd is a **** too. Why was he going on about Delahoya. Degale should have slapped that midget

I had Jack by one round but far from a robbery.

The Americans are out again with the nonsense. The fight is very close. A draw is the true result. Jack was inactive in lots of the early rounds, de gale wins lots of rounds not only with activity but also with punches landed

It's fights like these where the boxing scoring system struggles to deliver a satisfactory result. I would feel aggrieved if I was Jack, because the rounds he won were a lot more conclusive than the ones DeGale won.

For example DeGale's 10-8 and Jack's 10-8 are two different stories, but scored the same.

Great fight though, and the obvious answer is a rematch.
