I thought it was a great fight last night, hopefully it sets the tone for a big 2017.
Regarding the result I thought about Hagler-Leonard with Degale throwing flurries at the end of the rds trying to steal them, which I guess worked considering the result.
I thought Jack should of got the nod in a close bout, a draw I guess is reasonable depending on how you look at it. Am definitely interested in a rematch at 68 or 75, only thing that would suck about it is Jack should be unified Champ if he beats him again at 75 it'll be for no strap I'd be mad if I was him.

Round by round this was a close fight. Pretty much everyone had it even or thereabouts going into the last.

The vast majority of people had Kovalev winning fairly comfortably round wise which is how boxing is scored.

The outlanded punch stat arguments would also be a hell of a lot more valid if a lot of the people making it here didn't think Mayweather beat Castillo in their first fight.

The Mayweather fight with Castillo could have gone either way.. I have no problem with a 7-5 decision going with Castillo. I've said that multiple upon multiple upon multiple times on here.. Castillo is the only guy anyone can argue beat Floyd. that said, people need to stop bringing up Ward vs Kovalev to suit their agenda... 2 totally different fights, two totally different outcomes. It seems the only people bringing up Ward-Kovalev are the degale fans who happen to be from the UK.

They were two different fights, this is one that whilst I scored it for Jack was open to interpretation throughout, in the Kovalev Ward fight I think things were a lot more clear cut hence the outrage from so many at the result.

That the TMT fans want to call this out as a much worse result than it is after spouting the whole 'it could of gone either way' rubbish post the last really big fight to go to the judges says a lot.

Close fight....Jack was unfortunately not busy enough in the earlier rounds and let
DeGale win close rounds. At least he left Brooklyn with his belts and all his teeth.

I hope this sets the scene for good competitive fights with the best taking each other one.

I'm saying that if you think the Ward fight could of gone either way then I can't see how you can't apply the same attitude to this which round for round wise was as close as it comes.

That many who scored for Ward can't see how Degale might have scored a close win or draw on some observers cards shows a real bias IMO.
