Degale was very lucky to get a draw, he's struggling at world level in almost every fight

Clearly he's not as good as some deluded people on here make out. Seems to have a lot of luck on his side though. Callum Smith would knock him out, no doubt about it.

he's been lucky also in that he's been in a very weak division.

Opponents with very strong fundamentals AND very high levels of fitness (like BJ) will always trouble the 'unconventional' 'improvisational' types (like JdG).
With correct adjustments I would favour deGale to win a rematch. But at 30 is deGale gonna make major changes and re-learn fundamentals? Probably not.....

I've thought the same for a while. I know alot of people say 'It's a big fight, I think we'll see a different degale this fight'. But I've seen the same for his last few fights. Without moving trainers or doing something differently, I think this is going to be about his peak to be honest.

We shouldn't be knocking him down though, he has fought several different world class opponents now and either won or drawn and just fought in a unification fight, all from home also, I think he deserves a lot of credit.

Agreed, I never thought DeGale was one for a war like that but he proved me wrong.

Jack is world class, a top top fighter and it was a very close fight last night regardless of who you thought won. I think either of those fighters on last nights form would KO Groves or Eubank.

Was a top level fight with skill and will shown in abundance. I think where all to quick to knock our own. Respect to both fighters and a real benchmark for 2017, the show as a whole was fantastic

I didn't see George Gorves getting the same kind of respect after facing Jack in a close fight that Degale has got after facing him..

Yep he could easily have 6 losses on his record... Wicieliski, Dirrell, Bute, Medina, Jack ... all the luck was on his side in these close fights.

he is what he is. a decent fighter but nothing special at all. All these people saying he has 'unbelievable skills' ''could outbox anyone'' and '' is close to breaking the top 10 p4p'' talk pure bullshiit.. one of the most overrated boxers currently

Certainly agree he's not as good as many thing least of all what he thinks. He is lucky Froch never fought him as he would have not only knocked him out but would have outboxrd him too. Yes DeGale has speed but the Frochs fundamentals for professional boxing were much stronger, especially for championship fights.

He deserves credit, showed serious grit and toughness last night in a top fight.

He's not a massive draw in the UK, so signing with Haymon has allowed him to earn good money but he's also getting involved in meaningful fights whilst being the 'away' fighter. Showed balls by taking himself out on the road and he showed balls in the ring last night when the going got tough.

Going into last night's fight Jack was accepted as a legitimate world class fighter. When Groves went in with him a lot of people considered him a paper champion liable to get KO'd by a big puncher.

If you held a gun to my head, I'm picking Eubank Jr.
