Aleem has some power. Khytrov is a busy fighter. No power. Don't take that as a knock.

 

Zakman must of been knocked out a lot as a kid.

 

If you were to make a list for the flaws in Khytrov's game, his chin probably wouldn't make it to top5.

 

I thought Khytrov was another Lemieux with better amateur pedigree before, but his power isn't nearly as good as Lemmy's.

Khytrov is garbage. Over here in the UK, he wouldn't even make it past British level. Jack Arnfield would destroy him in 2 rounds. Anyone who hyped him up knows literally nothing about boxing

I just don't think that he has power. He's a stay busy fighter but he got hurt to the body too. The first shot I'm surprised he stayed up. The other kds were set up by body shots. He was landing at will on Aleem. If you hit a guy that much he either has a chin, rolls and parrys well with punches or the guy lacks power. I choose the latter.

Or...Some combination of the three. Aleem has a good beard, was rolling/deflecting quite a bit of the incoming and yeah...maybe Khytrov doesn't have power that could be classified as 'world-ending'. But I wouldn't classify him as 'feather-fisted', either. Maybe one paced and flawed defensively, but not completely without pop.

 

Khytrov does have excellent power, that I can't doubt. He just throws a high number of punches that aren't his biggest punches, that's why it gives off the impression that he's not a huge puncher - this is evidenced by his position when throwing these punches, barely ever has a very dominant angle here. I can guarantee you he is such a gruelling opponent to be up against.

With that said, I just watched the fight now and there are so many flaws, I really can't be bothered beginning. I'm sure I've listed them before. Aleem to me hasn't showing anything other than high-level journeyman ability and he has a lot of work to do himself.

Either way, brilliant fight and I feel bad for Khytrov who had all of the tools to make for a great pro but ended up getting even worse.
