Would GGG have done better with Degale than Jack?

Jacks shape and tight defence meant Degale was unable to catch him clean a lot of times and I think GGG is easier to catch clean than Jack.

At the same time if GGG had caught Degale with the same shots as Jack, Degale would have got his soul snatched.

Who do you think does better against Degale?

GGG would have knocked several more teeth out and stopped him earlier.

Jack never stopped him although I know what your tryna say. I think GGG would have stopped when I think of the styles coz Degale really cannot handle heavy pressure.

GGG would have Monroe'd him. Except Degale would have put up a better fight and possibly have stunned GGG a time or two. Jack is much, much larger than GGG which has to be taken into consideration. GGG has a good chin, at MW. GGG would probably feel Degales shots regardless of whether or not he could hurt Jack. The major difference between GGG and Jack is that as GGG is doing his work he's also pushing up against the ropes and into the corner whereas Jack was more than happy to plant his feet in the center of the ring all night long. Nothing wrong with that if you are winning there but cutting Degale off could have possibly taken the judges out of the equation.

Don't know if GGG'S power would be the same at 168. It's certainly possible that he'd carry his power to that weight, but until he gets there I can't really say he'd do better against degale than Jack did who did an excellent job btw.

Not early in my opinion, degale is tough as nails I think he would stop him late through wearing him down from heavy body shots.

Good points, I especially agree with your last point degale hates pressure, I think Jack doesn't move order to keep his shape and protect his chin

Ooh well lets see(sucks through teeth) well could be I mean we all know the power Degale has...Jack must be thinking what an easy fight GGG is after degale...almost a sparring in comparison...WTF are you smoking?

I honestly think GGG's pressure, accuracy and power would've knocked DeGale out. DeGale is really impressive for about 4 rounds total but takes far too much time off in-between. You can't do that against a p4p opponent, and he was fortunate to get away with it against Jack.

Actually, DeGale was in trouble in some of the rounds, could've have got KO'ed if there was another couple of minutes on the end of the eighth or twelfth for example. But he survived because the one-sided beatings he got in rounds 6 and 8 weren't worth any more points than the second or fifth rounds which DeGale won close.

Put quite simply, this time boxing's twelve-round 10 pt scoring system saved DeGale.

Degale has the hand speed and chin to beat GGG, but his habit of tuning out midfight is going to continue to let him down against elite competition.

Degale has all the talent but zero ring IQ IMO,he's fought the same fight time after time, the fact that when he has to he'll go for it which leaves me wondering why he often holds out,I've never seen Jack as good as last night though?
As for GGG I'd like to think he'd win but it's all about if he could cope with the size difference?

Could not agree more, the 10-9 degale received is closer than the 10-9 rounds Jack received. In other words, Jack won his rounds bigger. However that's how boxing is scored. So in my opinion the draw verdict is correct.
