Great, great fight. Probably a short one, but great while it lasts.

Gotta hand it to both of these guys. Lemieux and Stevens aren't scared to take the hard fights.

Just hope nobody gets permanently hurt.

    I can't pick a winner.

Now that's one I'd like to see.
It probably ends up as a decision win for Lemmy, but with both their punching power a KO either way can happen in any round.

    Hope it's actually true.

Great fight if true.... Wanted to see this one for quite some time. Not a lot of fights you can make at MW with the potential for fireworks as this one. There's a good chance this will end up being a FOTY or KOTY candidate - hell, maybe both!

Ill be tossing a coin for my pick in this one lol. Either Stevens KO 2 or Lemieux KO 10

You know though, obviously smart money is an early stoppage 1-4 for either guy.... but really, this sounds stupid but it wouldn't surprise me... not saying it happens, but it wouldn't surprise me... if it goes the distance, because both guys are so limited. I think Stevens probably has a better chance at an early stoppage because all he has to do is touch Lem with a money shot and I think Lem gets shook hard. Whereas I think Lem will have to break Stevens down to get the KO. But if Stevens doesn't land that money shot, and Lem decides to try and not go for the kill in there due to Stevens power.... this could be a fight where everyone is expecting an early KO but it actually goes late.

But really, I expect Lemieux to control the fight in between the sporadic scary moments that Stevens will provide. Stevens can end it any time, as usual... and if he puts Lem on his head it wont shock me, but I have to think that Lem is just a notch above Stevens in level.

Great fight. I hope the fans turn out for this one. Too many times fan friendly fights like this don't get the ratings they deserve.

this fight has foty written all over it

Stevens can crack big time he even compained at 175 knocking out guys he is a mean dude but can be outboxed david wont be able to out box him which makes this fight a slug fest its who can take the most punishment.

David can hit as hard as stevens anyone who fights these guys aggressively is getting knockout dirrel at 168 had to run all night from stevens unless ofcourse your gennady golovkin.

None of these guys will box thats what makes this fight so compelling they are really big hitters as well

Ive heard that said about matchups like these time and time again. Usually, one of the fighters is smart enough, with just enough skills, to not go head to head with the other puncher and usually becomes the dictator within the ring without a war breaking out. Whether Lem has the ability to do that will have to be seen.

Stevens is so basic, with a limited enough output, that I really could see Lem outboxing him in stretches throughout rounds. Obviously there will be more engagements than usual, which means it could end at any moment for him, given who we are talking about, but if Team Lem is smart, they wont be heading into this fight trying to make it FOTY. Then again who knows, maybe I'm overrating Stevens chin and durability and underrating Lemieux's power, and he can actually blast Stevens out of there without getting clipped first.

    We will see.

Stevens is a more experienced & in my "Mind" more durable fighter than lemi, he will slip most of Lemis onslaught & probably wear him down in later rounds then KO him...lemi has no real skill, if he has he has kept it well hidden .
    Stevens by KO
