Some miserable ****s on here. You just seen a brilliant fight and your first thought is thinking of a way to discredit them.

If we're just doing Top 2, I'd probably take out Flyweight (Ioka's really good and Nietes is now in second position with Casamiero's departure) and include Heavyweight (Povetkin's been awfully inactive and Joshua's still quite unproven). Would agree with Jr. Flyweight and probably Bantamweight at this point, though.

Chuck Norris never said GGG was a bum.

But he's f/n A right that DeGale and Jack aint neither, nor are Smith, Sturm, Chudinov, Abraham, Steiglitz, Zurdo, Chavez Jr, the Dirrel brothers, Groves, Bute, or Murray for that matter.

All those guys are B level or better, and if they had some less mileage, would give most SMWs thru history a rough night, if not a f/n L.

Bute got some miles under his belt, but from what weve seen last 4 fights, he's not shot, just still a bit gunshy early on.

You might have a point about heavyweight, who the **** knows what's going on in that division or who the top 2 even are at the minute.

You're prob right about Fly too although I'm prob swayed - although it's irrelevant to this discussion really and shouldn't be a factor - by the drop off after those two in comparison to SMW. I also think Degale and Jack aren't really getting enough credit here following their fight.

LWW is prob the worst division now though - the number two Postol wouldn't be able to live with a lot of guys in other divisions p4p IMO. Crawford looks great and all but beyond him you've got the likes of shot to pieces in his third weight class Ricky Burns looking like he might become unified champ.

He'd still be Adonis Stevensons best win by a hundred f/n miles if they fought.

Say what you want about Jack & DeGale BOTH put on a hell of a fight. My hats off to both. Also kudos tp two of the judges in making the result a draw. There is no way you could say either man won or lost
The only black mark in the fight was that obnoxious POS Mayweather trying to hog the limelight bleating Jack was robbed. Cheers to DeGale & his cornermen for shutting his whining mouth by saying " OK lets do it again what'dya say" ? That shut him up. In saying that I sure as hell would love to see it again
Oh & I enjoyed seeing Mercante take that shot too bet theres a long list of fighters would love to take a shot a him lol

I don't think its 'weak' i thinks its very entertaining.
i dont like comparing to past fighters or era's as its unfair as you would never be able to tell 'skill' level 10 years ago to skill levels today, training moves on, supplements move on etc etc (not peds).
the current level of fighter at SMw are quite evenly matched going by scorecards of late so its fun to watch some great fights of equal level opposition.
im sure most boxing fans would agree that they dont see divisions as weak if the oppositions are all similar levels who produce great fights to watch. Isn't this what sport is about, ENTERTAINMENT

Jack and Degale just put on a great show for us, they are fine fighters with great skills. I'd rank these top 2 along with the top dogs at HW, MW, lMW, BW

Was a much higher quality fight than anything we've seen at MW for years. Jack and DeGale are very, very good fighters just not hyped at all due to having small fanbases.

They are weak in the sense in that they have failed to pull away from the pack. 168 is a four man race between Degale, Jack, Bute, and Groves. Nobody from this grouping has emerged as as THE man. And it doesn't help that two of these men in Groves and Bute are 0-3 (3KOs) against the last division leader in Froch, this looks pretty bad for them.
