You're wasting your mind-reading skills on watching boxing, there's money to be made with such a talent...

Yeah OK we know ...go into the corner ,there's some tissues there for your sort.

Degale said the bridge in his dental work broke , my guess it was painful with the mouth guard in place...obviously this comment is not to Isal as he is busy in the dark corner thinking about men hurting each other, where as most here look at the skill of each opponent...

I agree it should be fitted back asap ... the first time it comes out.

If it comes out again, then tough luck, wait for a break in the action to put it back.

Too easy to get a break whenever thing are tough that way. I remember Damiani / Page where every time things got tough Page would gob out his mouthpiece.

It's a tough question. If both guys are in a good exchange and the shield comes out then stopping the fight could break the momentum. This could give one of the fighters a advantage, a second wind or time to clear his head. The fight may have gone entirely different way with out the stoppage. But the damage that can be done with out the shield as to be taken into consideration at all times. So it's a fifty fifty question

If you look properly, the teeth come out at the same point that the shield is punched out for the first time, the replay clearly shows it. After that, without the front teeth, the sheild is difficult to keep in, no front teeth biting down on it.

I thought the ref handled the situation correctly.

Yes, they should be allowed but if it happens more than a couple of times, then a point should be deducted for time wasting.
DeGale didn't lose a tooth, he lost his bridge which can be refitted.

Neither me nor you know the exact reason why he was spitting the gum shield out, no matter the reason he should have had a point deducted for it.
