Could see the ABC's ranking him in the top 15 if he remains active. Wilder will be licking his chops and wanting to fight him for his 7th or 8th straight voluntary defense.
Yes, he was tko'd a couple of times in amateurs, I still would favour Wilder but ,I think Dinu has improved.
Robert Alfonso had 4 fights in 2016, his record stands at 10/0.He has victories over Luis Ortiz(12/0), Rivas, Andy Ruiz jr, Michael Hunter, Michel Lopez 2x and victories over other big names in amateurs.Hope to see him active this year and hopefully, some big promoter will snatch him up.
He is advised by Koncz, so he will be active this year. That is why he will fight on Jerwin Ancajas's undercard who is Manny' s protege.
Well well, Shaefer comes into contention to sign Yoka, Haymon is out: Last August, a star was born. Tony Yoka won the Olympic title in Rio in the super-heavyweight category. Since then, the 24-year-old has been in high demand and is continuing the media appearances: Miss France jury, awards at the NRJ Music Awards, not to mention the numerous covers of magazines. But the sportsman does not forget his career as a boxer. Amateur at the Olympics, Tony Yoka has since decided to go professional. It should thus engage with a US promoter (Top Rank is competing with another developer, Richard Schaefer) next week. According to Le Parisien, four fights a year will be scheduled: three in France and one in the United States, for a start in April or May 2017. >> Le Grand Journal: Tony Yoka surprised et ému face à son père (VIDÉO) ">>>> Le Grand Journal: Tony Yoka surprised and moved in front of his father (VIDEO) Two television groups are still racing to broadcast these fights in exclusivity. Admittedly I have never seen Robert fight, though I hear good things. But after looking at his stats, my only question is where is the power? Such a big dude you would think he would have some pop. Do you think he is having difficulty transitioning his style to the pros, or does he simply lack heavyweight power? Not that power is the be all end all in this sport, but it never hurts to have some.
He never had big power, he is a boxer type, not a puncher type.In amateurs, he outboxed well known names, but never outpowered them.
Gotcha, thanks bro. Well I love a heavyweight with actual boxing skill, regardless of power so I think I will go and watch some of his fights now. You think he may be the real deal huh?
Well, he is 4-time Cuban champion, mostly as a super heavyweight and also the winner of World cup in Moscow in 2010(Beating Zhang Zhilei in quarterfinals, Niyaz Fayzulin in a semi-final and had a wo in final), he had many wins in many tournaments over the good opposition, so yes he is legit. P.S.He beat Michael Hunter 9/1 in the amateurs. Also, he has win Over Erislandy Savon by 11/10 score. He has a 12/8 win over Stefan Koeber, who beat Pulev, Povetkin,Solis and others in amateurs. His other victories are over Luis Ortiz(12/0), Rivas, Andy Ruiz jr, Michel Lopez 2x.
