He will lose to top cruiserweights, he had only 26 amateur fights,he was lured by the sight of money.

Too bad he did not go to the cruiserweight division, he would be more competitive there.

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn said: "I am delighted to welcome Lawrence to the team.

"Lawrence is the first Team GB Olympian to turn over and I think he has a huge future in the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions.

"Lawrence has all the attributes to become a star inside and outside the ring, and we will announce his debut fight next week.

"He will box eight times in his first year on the biggest shows all over the country. It's official - Okolie's out the cage!"

He has a 2/1 loss to some boxer named Igor Teziev in last year's Chemistry Cup in Germany, Teziev pulled out of the tournament with the injury after his win over Okolie.

In Olympics, he beat emerging amateur prospect from Poland Igor Jakubowski 3/0,but lost to Savon at 1/8 stage via 3/0 score.

I don't actually know enough about Okolie. I can't even remember watching him in Olympics.
Joshua was KO'd by Dillian Whyte in ams, so this doesn't look bad at all, especially given they had virtually the same no. of amateur fights. It appears he has the desire to improve and learn like AJ does.

With that said, there are better prospects turning pro.

Okolie has literally only been boxing for five years. Sure he may be talented but he's been KO'd before and is heading into the most dangerous division at the moment.

Of course, there are, I am not saying Okolie is a world beater, I see Yoka go far but of course there are better prospects in amateurs than someone like Okolie.

I think the same, nothing logical in his choice to start in the cruiserweight division.Even fellow pro rookie Egorov would beat him comprehensively.

Judging by the rumour mill Joshua has never won a sparring session and gets separated from his senses every time he puts a head guard on.

It makes his success in competitive fights all the more perplexing. If I didn't know better I'd say most of these sparring stories were nonsense but you know, that'd be a bit simple.
