Damn that's a decent scrap seeing as Scott quigg has fought noone except for frampton I'll edge to mares whos coming off a good win but quigg has a decent chance, the styles gel well.
thats disrespecful to Kiko Martinez who was a world champion and had quite a few good wins including Hozumi Hasegwa. But anyway Quigg is a very good fighter.. he says he only wants to fight the best from now on. Mares has been knocked out and down before, Quigg's a very big puncher.. I reckon he'd take him out.
The Kiko Martinez quigg fought was washed up even a light puncher like Santa Cruz was able to stop him in five and he went on to draw his next fight.
he wasn't he'd actually got better with age.. just over a year before he got destroyed by Quigg he'd beat Hasegawa., and 9 months before he faced Quigg he'd gone the full 12 with Frampton. No one has done that Martinez in 2 rounds like Quigg did,, give him some credit man.
He took frampton 12 but did not win one round of the fight. He's not bad at his best his b- level when Quigg fought he was as c level fighter. Well done to Quigg for that but I never give too much praise for an early ko (1st or 2nd) because you can't learn much from it. Quigg does have good power though.
