And that resulted in him being handed a title without having to win it in a ring by a commission who threatened to strip Canelo of the title due to this highly atypical mandatory put on the "winner" of Cotto / Canelo. In reality, the premise that Canelo had a mandatory in Golovkin before he ever became champion was highly unusual. Alvarez didn't vacate the title because he was scared to fight Golovkin. It was because 1) he wanted to make the fight with Smith at 154 which he couldn't do with that title 2) the WBC was disrespecting his ability to negotiate the fight with Golovkin on his own terms. The WBC, urged by Golovkin was issuing arbitrary timetables and windows to agree to terms that benefitted Golovkin greatly.

Golovkin kept saying "give me my title”, he wanted Canelo’s title without having to fight for it in a ring = cowardly. Vacating a title is not inherently cowardly. If you move up or down in weight classes, and you want to fight for a title, generally you have to vacate a title to do that. I can see how Golovkin proponents are using this to suggest that Canelo is cowardly, but it’s a false theory, and it’s used to blame the fight not happening on Canelo. Canelo has made an offer for a September fight with Golovkin. With Canelo vs Chavez scheduled for May, we’re bound to have a 2 month window of “waiting” after Golokvin Jacobs before Canelo Chavez, but if Golovkin and Canelo are both victorious and come out un-injured, then I don’t know how it doesn’t happen in September.

Canelo being the face of boxing comes with a price. to pay. ODLH, FMJ,and Canelo are hated because the truth is, that all roads lead to them. You fight at JRMW, you want a piece of Canelo, you fight at MW, you want a piece of Canelo, and once he moves up to MW and after his fight at SMW you'll see the SMWs wanting a piece of Canelo. All roads lead to Canelo for any prize fighter fighting within one weightclass of him.

I only use facts and logic in my arguments. If its impossible for you to handle that, perhaps you should not be quoting me. If you want to engage in real civil debate then YOU have to be honest.

You make a claim that "ODLH is steering Canelo clear of GGG because he is their only source of cash". I respond with; "You conveniently left out that ODLH (the same guy YOU CLAIM is steering Canelo clear of GGG) has sent GGG three offers. One for 155, and two for 160, giving GGG his biggest payday by considerable WIDE margins.

You understand ODLHs situation? Then kindly explain why 3 offers, one for 8 mil, one for 10 mil+PPV, and one for 15 million dollars means ODLH is steering Canelo clear of GGG for YOU.
