"(of a person) firmly established in a particular habit, belief, or way of life and unlikely to change their ways." thought you needed some help with the word 'confirmed'

Well if you listen more closely to that fragment that is confirmation. You are in denial about the whole thing yourself, you wrote that piece about yourself, great work!

While I totally agree with the point you make about the misuse of 'confirmed' I do get the feeling there is legitimacy regarding this claim. It just seems to ring true in how he reacts each time he's asked about it. But like you say, that confirms nothing...

I heard he wasn't dropped but seriously hurt/wobbled and was all over the place so they stopped the spar and Joshua was sent home.

So what is the story about him being dropped? The same? Or was Joshua actually on the floor?

Lol that straight away takes me back to that thread which tried to define the term 'floored' lol. But if what you say is right, that suggests Okoile was called off once it was clear AJ was hurt and wobbled and may have dropped him had he not been. Or he pulled his punches once he saw Joshua in trouble. But who knows? It's not gonna be in the AJ autobiography is it?

What makes me think there was/is something in it now is that Okolie has signed with Matchroom, with respect to Okolie he didn't medal at the Olympics and wasn't a "name" before and after and Hearn has said he isn't just signing any old fighter now, he wants to slim down the Matchroom stable to a group of quality fighters he believes can fight for world titles.

So maybe Okolie has done so well against Joshua in the gym and has earned himself a great reputation that Hearn has given him a chance.

oh so do i, i'm just a bit of a pedant. he gives off that vibe that it's true, if it wasn't you'd straight up say "no", but he looks like he wants people to know it happened without actually saying it happened.

Or.... all that and, well now he's signed for Matchroom and part of the stable, he's not gonna go public on hurting AJ is he? They may have bought into his talent and bought his silence too...
