I know he will, with a little help from his friend, Erroll Spence.

By 2018, an aggressive fighter who is around 35-36 years old is a disaster waiting to happen.
Boxing has made me think negatively about it :( Business and politics. Good fighter but with his advisors, the way boxing is structured, financially speaking and realistically, he'll wait until Golovkin has had another 5 fights and is just too old. Don't you think so?
I think Erislandy Lara should move up and beat a contender/belt holder or two to try and land the GGG fight - I hope Charlo does this.

He's had a long amateur career and even though he hasn't been in with great fighters, he has still taken hits in his fights - a part of the territory of being an aggressive juggernaut. The Canelo fight is likely going to take something away from him.

Who would you guys like to see him up against first? I think Willie Monroe would be a good fight and it isn't like he's tied up with anything right now.

Post Groves I was pretty sure he was keen to return to 160. He just doesn't have the same size advantages at 168.

Willie Monroe is a good option, pretty underrated fighter who is very skilled he just doesn't have power.

I think Charlo is way too good for Monroe so it would be an ideal tune up.

    Forgot Harrison, Douglas, and Hurd.

All are big guys and while Hurd and Harrison are currently masquerading as LMWs, if a big money opportunity were to come at 160, they'd make their returns there.

And when the WBA minor title becomes vacant in March, a big $$$ fight will be there for any of these Haymon fighters on the PBC.
We might even see the return of Peter Quillin. Another solid Haymon MW.

No he has proven himself and unified the belts with Postol. He's the man at 140 but yeah after he beat Durlome he was a paper champ because he fought for a vacant belt.

    I agree in part.

Charlo does his best work when he's able to work behind his long jab and able to throw the lead R hand.

Monroe is very quick and needs to be set up subtly.

Would be a solid fight if that WBA title was up for grabs, but not a wise first fight at the weight.

Vera, Lee, or Rosado would all be better b/c these guys like to trade, and Mallow won't have to go looking for em, and Haymon wont need to worry bout him looking bad in his first fight N.

This would be an easy KO for Charlo. Probably even easier than for Golovkin.

Man, I was just thinking there's some great fights with Jermall to be made up there. He was massive at 154, and 160 has a good number of power and action fighters I'd love to see him square off against.

In particular, Stevens-Lemieux winner or Khurtsidze are must-see fights. I wouldn't mind seeing how he handles a Willie Monroe-style pure boxer, either.
