And yet no one would bat an eyelid at someone suggesting Dempsey would KO Wilder.

"Bumerbiev" Holy crap what's weak. I though your people were at least supposed to be proficient at rhyming.

Beterbiev has wins over legit LHW's. Seriously, there's no point of lame rhetoric I can't be bothered anymore. Beterbiev has a better resume at LHW already.

Is this trolling? Moorer beat at least 5 guys ranked in the Ring top 10. . He racked up 21 wins and 8 title defences in just two years.
Artur's had 11 fights in 3 and a half years. His best win being being an extremely faded version of Campillo. He's a prospect. There's no claiming he's better than a legit former champion.

As for this match up , i'd favour Wilder to beat a guy with a straight zero record at Heavy. Wilder has knockout power. He'd inflict serious damage on a 175 pounder. Szpilka had to be revived by oxygen regulator and left the ring on a stretcher.
I don't see Beterbiev even beating a guy like Szpilka.

Wilder wouldn't just beat Artur either. He'd most likely knock out everybody at the weight.

    LOL

Legit LHWs like WHO? Tavoris Cloud? Gabriel Campillo?

Please stop with the foolishness. Bumerbiev has beaten NOBODY...

No it's not trolling. 'Ranking' is just a way to redress the actual opponents he fought. Seriously just research into it.
Once he beats Sullivan Barrera next, it would not just beat but trump Moorer's resume.
Styles make fights. Fighters make fights, too. Deontay has very, very glaring flaws that someone of Beterbiev's calibre could exploit to get the KO, but I would still be favouring Wilder.

Beating Sullivian Barrera won't prove you can beat HWs. Andre Ward dropped Barrera and he has no punch. Beterbiev will destroy that guy.
The only way he can claim he beats a HW is by fighting and beating actual HWs. Other wise its just wishful thinking.

Put it this way . Wilder could go through Beterbievs 3 and a half year record in a week. None of them would see the second round. There would be no end to the abuse Wilder would receive if he was to fight a light heavy.

Wilder is an odd mix of ungainly and athletic, by which I mean he moves badly, really well. His sheer size advantage and athleticism disarms Beterbiev's better skills and keeps his power away from that fragile chin. So Wilder for me but he cannot take any solace or credit from this. The mere fact this fantasy match-up is even being discussed speaks volumes, if I was a Wilder fan I'd not even enter this debate. But the physical disadvantages are a bridge too far for Artur...

I'm trying to say that Beterbiev beating Barrera would put any argument regarding Moorer's LHW resume to bed, completely. Barrera is a genuinely good fighter.
I know it's the ams, but Beterbiev did impose his freak strength on his amateur foes back at heavyweight in ams (not super heavy) despite being small for weight those 4+ years ago. Usyk is a HUGE cruiser for example, and Beterbiev bullied him in their last fight and certainly deserved the decision.

At the moment Wilder has to be favoured very heavily based on size. 7-8 inches of both height and reach is an awful lot, if Wilder stays disciplined he should be able to keep Beterbiev away and win easily.

Still, if anyone could do it might be Beterbiev, who did show promise in the am's taking on and KO-ing bigger HWs. So if Beterbiev moves up + proves himself at a higher weight then we can reopen this discussion.

did he ever prove himself vs 6 feet 7 HW's? i don't think so beterbiev is even outsized by some of the taller guys at LHW he's 5 11, he'd get stopped inside the first 3 rounds vs wilder
