    Realistically, the facts don't favour much else from Wladmir Klitschko.

    * 41 years old.
    * Coming off a 17 month lay-off (the longest of his professional career)
    * Lost his last fight, barely landed a punch.
    * Didn't look good in his fight before that, a full 2 years ago.
    * The Pulev fight ... the last time he good any good at all ... was 2014.
    * Been a professional since 1996.
    * Two aborted training camps in 2016.
    * Several pull-outs in his career from injury.

    Now, don't get me wrong, this is still a 50-50 fight due to the fact that the true quality of AJ is still unknown and he's just a novice. I wouldn't be too surprised if Wladimir takes him to school, simply on experience.

    But I think people need to be prepared for a washed-up SHOT version of Wlad.
    I read some comments about "but he takes great care of himself", "41 isn't too old" etc.
    But people always delude themselves like that all the time.

    Mother---ers who thought their ass would age like wine. If you mean it turns to vinegar, it does. If you mean it gets better with age, it don't.

    good post!

    I'm not convinced AJ is a ATG, however, I am convinced he is pretty damned good all things considered,,,,

    that said, I am leaning towards Wlad getting beat by the young lion and possibly early.

    Its almost a lose/lose situation for AJ if he wins (impressively) everyone will state it more due to Wlad's recent digression. Of course if Wlad wins AJ is deemed a hypejob....

    I tend to a young Wlad loses to a prime AJ because of his lack of true focus and inconsistent behavior when facing immediate danger/dilemma/adversity. The older Wlad that could still pull the trigger understood his limitations and implemented a fine strategy albeit not the most visually pleasing strategy. I've always enjoyed Wlad when he's on a roll and dishing out dynamic punishment however I've also found him to be a walking talking paradox with his alpha male exterior and questionable spirit. Watching his fights vs Brewster and Sam Peter has never left my brain....he looked weak, vulnerable and insubstantial.

    Wlad - shot. If so, perhaps Wilder should have aggressively gone after this fight as soon as Fury 2 began falling apart.

    Surely a huge payday and a loss (against an ATG HW)(if it went that way) that he could get a 'pass' on and still come back into the mix from.

    It depends how Wlad looks in sparring. If he is putting guys to sleep and has his killer instinct back then AJ is in for a tough fight. If Wlad has a disaster camp then I think he pulls out of the fight with 'injury' and retires shortly after weighing things up. He doesn't need the money lets be honest and he won't risk the embarrassment of being KO'd either.

    I think some are overstating how bad wlad looked in the last fight in which very little was landed by either fighter. It was a very uneventful flight, for the most part But he started to connect in the last round, and had fury stunned

    But Wlad is now extremely focused on redeeming himself; that you can bet on ........And against Joshua I pick Wlad to win by knockout.... count on it

    Wladimir is going to smash Joshua harder than Nistor did.

    May the best man win, I like both guys, but for me.... the writing is kinda on the wall for Wlad. If hes able to overcome everything and actually beat Joshua in doing so, I will be deeply impressed.

    After the farce that was Fury-Vlad the only way Vlad can go lower is by suffering a rd 1 ko.

    Is it "shotness" or "shotnicity" I get confused with words that have similar meanings, like tiredness and fatigue. Oh wait, I got it! Shotnicity is the state of being shot, while shotness is the degree of how shot a fighter is. Ok, carry on.

    I see this fight going 1 of 2 ways. Wlad looks real good, better than he's looked in a while and wins an impressive fight or AJ blasts him out within 3. I think This fight is AJ's to lose. He's younger faster and has every physical advantage a young fighter should have over the older fighter. No way can Wlad resemble anything like his fight with Fury. AJ can use his athleticism to keep Wlad moving, never let WK plant his feet to get any power shots off and attack, attack, attack!! At this stage of WK's career, I just feel that AJ can do more.
