Khan being offered 60% shows that Brook concedes A side status. There has never in the history of boxing been a B side taking the big end of the split and that trumps any argument you might have to the contrary. Brook has a dismal resume with only one win against a half decent opponent. Saying Brooks loss to GGG enhances his status against Khan's loss to Alvarez is totally erroneous. The only credit either got was for stepping up and taking a beating in a higher weight. Brook would have ended up the same way as Khan in the next rd if he hadn't been rescued by his corner.

He's world champ. GGG fight did more than 500k PPV here. Khan Canelo did around 450k US.
Khan v Alexander did around 100k more than Brook v Porter on Showtime (think it was 650k to Khan/Devon's 750k)

60% was a figure banded around early last year (approx January) and prior to Brook fighting GG but Hearn's position seems to have shifted since then because Kell's stock has clearly risen. Quoted on Jan 18th, 2017 he said: "When you're talking about a split; Amir might say 'I'm a much bigger name'. We disagree because we're world champion. How much value do you put on a belt? I always say to fighters that 'without each other, you aren't getting paid'.

Seems to me he's hinting at 50/50 which I think would be more than fair to both and reflects their change in status last year. I do agree, however, that Hearn is more likely to shift because he wants that Wembley fight to happen and the split doesn't affect Matchroom per se. So let's wait and see who blinks first.

As for your point about Brook being close to suffering a clean KO. Maybe he was close to that but he got stopped on his feet rather than on his back, which was good for his health and his profile too.

I heard some news that Amir Khan had some sexual relationship over a female model, I dunno
    If this is related.

Imagine Khan vs Canelo UK, cheap price PPV?? Off the richter. Showtime had massively benefited from Mayweather's involvement.

Who are the legends of any rellevence on khans record.shot to **** tiny barerra,
He fought for over 2 rounds against the most feared fighter in boxing 2 divisions up fighting in the pocket with him with a shattered eye socket and carried on until pulled out.
Khan, legged it until he was caught and knocked as clean the fck out as u can be without being in a coma,a division and a pound above his weight against the man who is terrified to fight the man brook gave a good scrap against, yet khan is the one who felt the need to belittle kels effort and made out his was better.
Hes a deluded little ****witt,he knows hes getting fcked up,and he knows his career is fcked once kell obliterates him because he's ran out of excuses

400,000+ ppv's v GGG and the O2 arena sold out in mins. Seems pretty popular to me.

There seems to be this myth that Khan can fight in the UK and sell out anywhere. That's BS!!!

khan only draws bigger numbers when he's making s*x tapes these days.

brook is the A side in the uk.

im not a fan of either.

khan needs to step up and cash out already. there is zero hype around his fights these days, especially in the uk

He obviously feels Brook hasn't done enough in his career to garner a stronger split on the purse.

I believe it's the biggest fight that can be made in British boxing outside of Fury vs Joshua. The winner would set themselves up nicely in a unification fight later in the year against the winner of Garcia-Thurman.

Ha. Sky sports have pretty much ignored amir Khan since he was beaten by Garcia. Kell Brook does high TV numbers and just sold over 400,000 PPV buys on the sky platform.

Oh and please remind us all how well Khan sold tickets for his last fight in the UK. That was in Sheffield and he had to give away freebies.

He isn't a draw here. He was lucky to be offered 60/40. To ask for 70/30 was to price himself out of the fight.

I have said this so many times. Amir Khan has never had any interest in fighting Kell Brook. He knows fall well he will be knocked out. Oh and he will be giving away free tickets for this Vargas fight also.

Even if Brook took 30%, Khan still aint taking this fight until he's 100% out of the May/Pac sweeps.

Fact is, Khan STILL believes he's got an 8 figure payday waiting on his v either Pac or May, and until he's completely out of the running for it, he's gonna continue to fight their leftovers till something holds.

He's still the WBC mandatory for Garcia, and there's no possibility that Garcia escapes the Thurman fight with another robbery win. If that was the plan, Haymon would NOT HAVE ALLOWED Porter to be robbed last summer.

That said, Khan believes the Brook fight is his cashout fight. And he'd be stupid to think otherwise.

He can bring Thurman to the UK for a Sky PPV, and get 50/50 of 12-15 mil.
He can still possibly get a Pac fight on HBOPPV.
He can still get a fight vs the likes of Bradley or Garcia on even terms.
He might even consider fighting Cotto depending on how slow he's looking at 152.

If Khan fought the following fighters consecutively, Vargas, Pacqioua, Thurman, Cotto, Bradley. He could lose all of em by KO, and still find a way to get 50/50 v Brook in the UK.

Amir Khan won't fight for the WBC belt as a mandatory for 25%.

Trust me that fight does not happen

Also can any Amir Khan fan please explain how he deserves more than 60/40 in his favour to fight Brook.

Kell is making the hard decision to make the fight happen. How can anyone seriously agree that Khan deserves 70% split!
