Funny sh... And a bit sad. Funny because ggghaters don'r know what the word logic meens. Sad because It's been quite obvious for some time now why 154 pounders (and el pollo) have cut their weight so hard. The reason is Golovkin; they know they can't win agains him.

Good, about time! If he really does walk around at 175 and weighs that on fight night, man that's 21 lbs to cut every fight and he ain't exactly fat. **** like that cannot be healthy.

Considering how f/n deep Haymons stable of big LMWs, MWs, and smallish SMWs is, he has one that can beat GGG.

If he sends one of his fighters into a GGG fight every 4 months for the next 3 yrs, one of em is gonna make it to the bell and get a nod.

Golovkin is gonna be 35. Eventually one of Haymons guys is gonna be able to pull it out.

Boo boo might be the guy to do it. But just like Saunders, he comes with a big "IF". If he takes his career seriously.

Would the IBF allow Brook to move to 154lbs to fight for the vacant title?

It's the best logical move for the IBF.
The moment Brook vacates and declares himself a LMW, the IBF would be stupid to not ask for purse bids between Harrison and Brook.

Would be an incredible fight with 2 big LMWs who can punch going at it.

MOF......if Brook and Harrison are NOT the 2 fighters fighting for that title, the IBF would lose credibility IMO.
The WBA included Floyd into their LMW #1 position when he fought Cotto.
The WBO let Manny become their #1 when he fought Margo.
The WBO have moved Alvarez into their top spot and he is still technically a LMW.
Mendoza said last spring that either Lara or Jacobs could fight GGG (last summer) and they would recognize the mandate being fullfilled allowing Lara to retain their Super LMW title and Jacobs to keep his minor title if Lara took the fight.
The WBC moved Chavez Jr right into their top 3 when he announced his move from MW following his loss to Martinez.

    Precedent has been set.

The IBF would be foolish to make a different title fight IMO, and both fighters management would be unwise to turn it down.
MOF.....someone needs to make a thread on this fight.

with Jermall Charlo joining the party at 160, we have middleweight as top 4 division in boxing
    GGG P4P no 4
    Canelo P4P no 6
Jermall Charlo looks to break into P4P soon
    Thats 3 P4P level fighters at 160
Andrade is soon to follow at 160
Then we got Chris Eubank Jr, Jacobs, Lemiuex, Derevenchenko, Murata, Stevens, Saunders in the mix. Not a bad division at all.

None of them have accomplished anything even remotely close to being considered P4P. Not one of them have yet faced an elite A-class opponent.
This is like magically transforming a vegetable cart horse into a Kentucky derby thoroughbred.

Good for him, I think he's a solid talent. I wonder if the extra 6 pounds will increase his already impressive power. He has very good size and could end up being a big, strong MW in the years to come.

I'd like to see him not even bother with a gatekeeper and go after a top 10 opponent at MW. Someone like Lee or Lemieux would be a great start to his campaign.

Well in the case of Canelo, he has actually faced several A-class elite opponents.
He is definitely not a horse hitched to a vegetable cart.
